Word For The Day, Tuesday March 31, 2015
In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
paramnesia [par-am-nee-zhuh]
-n
1. Psychiatry. a distortion of memory in which fact and fantasy are confused.
2. the inability to recall the correct meaning of a word.
[1885-90; < New Latin; see par-, amnesia]
Out like a lamb?
Clearly, you have a paramnesia when you acquire a second mnesium.

Meanwhile, dahn the Sahside...
When the fight between Mr. Blodgett and a bar employee spilled into Carson Street, officers responded and arrested Mr. Blodgett. They found a bag of frozen sliced potatoes in his right pants leg, and a frozen bag of Mrs. T’s Pierogies in his left pants leg, according to the criminal complaint against him.
While police were arresting Mr. Willis, Destinee Knox, 23, of Washington, Pa., approached him, and “continued to interfere with an official police investigation,” according to the complaint against her. She tried, but failed, to kick Officer Vozza, and resisted arrest, according to the complaint.

And, as i noted on Twitter, I thought it was opportunity that knocks.
Run!
It's a stampede!
I had to read that twice - I thought it said that “Psychiatry” was a distortion of memory in which fact and fantasy are confused.
Which is quite often true...
You were right; opportunity knocks.
But destiny kicks.

Since they were in his pants, next to his loins, that is a good one!
do you love pierogies enough to steal them???
If I were to steal frozen food from a bar kitchen and the employees were telling me it’s closing time and time to leave, I would not fight them to try to stay.
He botched the entire “getaway” concept.
Obama shot a 172 in his last round of golf. He remembers it as 72, in a particularly eggregious case of paramnesia.

Several members of WFTD seem to suffer from Paramnesia! LOL
