Johnny said not much since they were in a photo album that had glue strips. BTW Chum bought them BEFORE Johnny saw the collection. Missed how much Chum paid.
I think some of the image hosting sites have changed their code and are no longer fully compatible with plain jane HTML like FR uses.
Tinypic no longer displays my file directly using the link. It now directs to the tinypic page DISPLAYING my file (I bookmarked the old links and notice this change, SO LONG tinypic).
And I’ve been seeing a lot more blank boxes in new threads. If I view the HTML source, I can locate the image link and view the pic. When I return to the thread, the picture “now” displays.
Free image hosting isn’t worth what you pay for it. Hopefully PostImage is better.
Usually such things were not my cup of tea, but I always found the painted artwork on Wacky Pack stickers strangely attractive and appealing. Found out they were done by an old-timer named Norman Saunders, who did the painted covers for things like 1930s-40s era pulp magazines and paperbacks. He had a marvelous style, and some of his painted characters on the Wacky Packs are indeed hilariously funny.
And a good number of those stickers would probably cause a media firestorm nowadays, due to their political incorrectness.
What I do is in Preview mode I hit the refresh button, that way you’ll know if the pic will show up or not when you Post the comment.
Sigh, another blank box pic on FR. Can you describe it? I tried to follow the link and looks like my postimage image (Iraqi packages).
Except even after going there I see a blank box on the FR thread.
I had over 18,000 pictures on tinypic, and i can’t use them anymore because their intrusive pop-up video advertising crashes my computer every time i go to the site.
These pictures were important to me, as I used them every day on the Jerusalem and Prayer threads.
If it’s in your cache, it’ll display for you regardless.
Is my Iraqi image not displaying?
I’ve given up on tinypic. Postimage seem suspect. I may try imageshack or some other free image hosting site.
I thought hitting refresh on the browser will flush your cache.
I don’t see tinypic’s popup videos but my direct image links (that I’d book marked plus the new ones they generate) load their view page rather than JUST the picture.
That’s weird!
