This brings to mind that there are a lot of volcanos in the Cascades that pose a threat. Just to list a few: Mount Adams, the Three Sisters and even Crater Lake

That it is and don’t forget Lassen and Shasta at a greater distance from the Bay Area. With the worlds most famous you’re in good shape for disasters.

Well, the consolation prize is that there are a lot of libtards in that area of OR that could be, ahem, distressed by an eruption. Not to mention the implications for volcanogenic global warming.

Me too...especially the old guy named Harry Truman who refused to be evacuated.

He stayed until the end.

I don’t oppose the monitors, but wasn’t Mt. St. Helens under close monitoring when it blew?

“True power, the explosion blew down everything for many miles..”

Flying over it, commercially, not long afterwards I was awed by the blown over trees as far as the eye could see. They looked like toothpicks thrown upon an ashen colored ground.

I think I found the potential new location for the UN.

Mt St. Helens eruption was 7 megatons just from the blast. That’s 1600 times Hiroshima...

Very much so. We’ve learned a lot from St. Helens as a result. Even at that time the restricted zone established by Washington, saved a great many lives.
