Weather for the next several weeks. "The hits just keep coming." Best Easter skiing ever in the east. Meanwhile, in the West, it's HOT!

Joe Bastardi ping.
If you would like on or off, let me know.
Thanks! The winter weather pattern finally broke down here in Indiana this week with some welcome 50 degree days.
All the snow has melted.
I got 91 today, it is currently 89, as I post.
Debating whether to take the snow tires off....
Back when I was a lad in northwest Hoosier land, I think we kept the snow tires on until April.
Not uncommon, that’s for sure. The darn things are effective but noisy, even with my bad hearing.
Are you sure your thermometer is right-side-up?/sarc
Add me to the ping list, please!
Thanks!
Hoss
Wait a week, as winter isn't done yet.
Current weather conditions Similar to the '58 and '59 winters
This winter to get worse, snow in the NorthEast all the way to the Poconos for Easter = good skiing season
Cold trough in April and May into the mid-west and into Colorado for snows will give them more snow/rain,
and the cold weather pattern will continue to move from the North East towards the SW into the Sierras which means a cold spring for them .
Possible hyper tornadic activity April to May this year due to exceptionally warm waters in the Caribean 350 miles off Louisanna .
Do we have any FReepers in Hawaii? I’m sure it’s nice there today!
What’s the weather on Maui? I know it snowed on the big island yesterday...
I’m ok with more cold—and even some more snow. BUT, I really take notice when someone like Joe Bastardi talks about the coming tornado season resembling 2011. I’m in Westmoreland County and we had ONLY an F1 touchdown a little east of us (3/23/11). My son and I saw the funnel come down, and the clouds just did this swirl motion. The sky was an unforgettable green color. We were lucky, we only had heavy hail damage. Some house really close by totally blown away. So lucky NO injuries or loss of life. The hail was the size of eggs and lemons. Our neighborhood was covered with blue tarps on roofs for weeks and weeks. We had to have roof & siding replaced. Storm came up so fast. I don’t know how they function in the midwest...I could NEVER get used to that happening on a regular basis.
Snow is basically gone here in W PA. Temps are in the 30’s at night into the 50’s during the day.
That said we probably will have a few more flurries and some minor cold but Joe - I like him - seems to be saying it’s going to be worse than that.
If I read his charts correctly it will be below average temps and normal to slightly above normal precip. That’s a lot better than inches of snow in below freezing temps.
FWIW the snow at the Ice Hotel in Lapland has started to melt...dark there now but this is a live webcam.

You ALWAYS find the coolest web pages :)
Sea level or 11,000 feet above sea level?
Snow on the big mountain on Maui too.
93 today here in SoCal. Thanks for posting Joe.
