Op-Ed Michael Douglas finds Judaism and faces anti-Semitism
By MICHAEL DOUGLAS
Last summer our family went to Southern Europe on holiday. During our stay at a hotel, our son Dylan went to the swimming pool. A short time later he came running back to the room, upset. A man at the pool had started hurling insults at him.
My first instinct was to ask, Were you misbehaving?
No, Dylan told me through his tears.
I stared at him. And suddenly I had an awful realization of what might have caused the man's outrage: Dylan was wearing a Star of David.

"Actor Michael Douglas, who recently renewed his role as Wall Street wizard Gordon Gekko in Money Never Sleeps, donated $2,000 to Barack Obama on May 5, 2011. Michaels father, Kirk Douglas, gave the maximum $2,500 to Sen. Diane Feinstein (D-Calif.) on June 23."

“If he acted more like Steve Keller in real life.”
I was watching an old episode of Steets of SF the other day and turned it off due to its anti gun posture. I had forgotten how left wing supportive that show was.
Don’t forget Michael Douglas is a Jew. At least his father Kirk is. Antis-Semitism is pretty strong in Islamic Europe.
Douglas frames European anti-semitism as a result of a “fringe” group of Muslims, who are rapidly populating the continent. I think he would be surprised to learn that a large percentage of European Muslims are indoctrinated to hate Jews, and how that “fringe” is closer to a majority. This is how denying leftist Jews kid themselves and sow the seeds of their demise.
Gee, Michael, who is the bigger supporter of Israel and Judaism? Is it the Jews in the country who support left-wing politicians, or is it Christians?
No.
Hi mother wasn’t Jewish, so he’s not a Jew.
But I’m not surprised he sought to convert.
Russian Jews
Noticed that in a few episodes but still like it better than most of what’s on now.
What’s the old saying,”A conservative is a liberal that has been mugged?”
He is just finding out about this now?
He is 70 years old, discovers religion, and now this old liberal becomes a victim of religious bigotry while making the same rich vacations he has lived all of his life, poor guy.
This is so Hollywood. Perhaps now he will fight religious bigotry in his Hollywood/Washington D.C. world and try to undo all the anti-religious evil he has promoted and condoned his entire life.
This is simply not possible in Europe.
Everybody knows that it’s the U.S. that has the bigotry problem that must be dealt with. (do I really have to say sarc?)

A lot of shows were at that time. We forget that. Hawaii Five-O, The rookies, hell even Dragnet was at times. Webb was antigun.
15 years ago I got into an argument with my professor. The class was a 300 level history course on world war 2 holocaust . I wrote a paper predicting that rampant anti-Semitism was going to return with genocidal massacres and he actually told me that it would never happen today because the world is watching for this. the one thing I re4member is that we never discussed the tie in of nazieism and Muslim anti Semitism.
His support of Obama has caused much more harm to children than what his son endured. Due to the vacuum created by Obama’s policies, countless children are suffering in unimaginable ways. Rape, torture, mutilation, murder, bondage...
Every single Obama voter caused a lot of this...not all...but a lot of this, and that goes double for any Hollywood celebrity. Michael is upset that his son's feelings were hurt, and that is understandable. But, is he upset for the children of other parents who are living a hell on earth due to his support of Obama?
He may be the oldest living celeb with two living parents. George W Bush is another.
