Read the truth I posted. . . every word in my points are FACTS. . . and not cut and paste from anywhere. These are facts I gleaned from hard research from articles published following the events of 2010-2011. There is no "Apple approved PR propaganda canned response about it. Just careful research that anyone can do, and should do, if they are at all interested in truth. YOU obviously are not. I have repeatedly posted the links to every article on these facts on FreeRepublic and am getting DAMNED tired of slapping down the lies from you propaganda spreading FUDsters. Sorry, you just don't get to demonize me.

Apple had nothing to do with the suicides, not one of which occurred at an assembly plant making ANY Apple products. . . and which were at a far lower rate than the rates for similar age cohorts in the Chinese population in general, which occurred at a rate of about ONE PER MONTH over the 18 month period in question and NONE have occurred in a company that now employees over 750,000 people.

SO JUST EXACTLY WHAT ARE YOU EXPECTING among a population of people of over 600,000 people? PERFECTION? Do the math yourself to find the per 100,000 per year suicide rate and look up the rates in the places I mention. It's not hard to do. . . and you will find it is as I said. The US National suicide rate is 65 per 100,000 per year. FoxConn in this period had a suicide rate of just 1.5 per 100,000 per year. . .

A suicide rate 1.5 workers per 100,000 per year. . . AND YOU THINK THAT IS A HORRENDOUS SCANDAL? That is what you are making this big fuss about! That truly is DELUSIONAL!

Some people are always going to kill themselves. It is inevitable. It happened and because the company involved made things for Apple, FUD spreaders started a world wide anti-Apple campaign about how evil Apple was, even though not one of the suicides even involved a worker making Apple products, but OH, did it make good press and clicks to include Apple in the headlines! Nobody would have cared a whit if they had said there were suicides at plants making Microsoft X-Boxes, Sony Play Stations, Nokia Phones, and HP-computers. But put Apple in the headlines and it got attention!

Oh, and articles spreading the suicide FUD got PAGE ONE priority on Google, which was just coincidentally trying to launch Android cell phones at the time, while the articles telling the factual truths could not be found. Coincidence? With Google such page one prominence is never a coincidence. The hilarious part of it was that FoxConn was making many of the phones with Android on them.

The CEO of the company involved, HonHai Precision Electronics Ltd., owner of FoxConn, Terry Gau, erected the nets in response to a propaganda storm about the suicides. Psychologists determined that it was Gau's policy of paying the families of the suicide victims a condolence payment of $50,000 that lead to many of the suicides because some home sick, despondent young people decided they could do more for their families dead than alive and working. After Gau announced that no more condolence payments would be made to families, the suicides STOPPED.

Nor are the workers at the factories assembling products for apple by any stretch of the imagination, except YOURS, "slaves". They are freely working for a TAIWANESE company, for better pay than they can get in any other work with their skill sets, and have sought out that employment, competed with others who sought that employment, and were hired to do that job for the wages agreed. Many of them live in employer supplied housing but many of them do not. That still does not equate to "slavery" as you baldly and falsely state. None of them are forced to work there. None of them are whipped into service, bought or sold, none are traded to other factories. They are at will employees and can leave at any time. So, yes, you are telling falsehoods.

Very,,,apple.

And no, it's very unApple. Apple never makes comment on anything. That's just more of your anti-Apple hatred and FUD. You appear to be suffering from a mild case of MAPS:

Swordmaker's and Kathy's proposed diagnosis for the new ICD-10 addenda:

90210 iOS Munchausen's Apple-Plexy Syndrome (MAPS), The overwhelming compulsion to post negative, judgmental, aggressive, and false commentary on any website thread related to Apple products wherever found, including phobic reaction to projected Apple user euphoria. First and subsequent encounters.
