(KUTV) The victims of the so-called "polygamist ninjas" fear retaliation by the sister-wives, the family told 2News in their first interview since the bizarre and traumatic break-in.
Raven Blackwing, 22, and Tylynn Southwick, 19, allegedly jimmied the back door of the West Jordan home early in the morning last September.
Fiances Jeremy Beck and Elizabeth Griego were sleeping when their friend, who was staying over, heard creaking near the stairs leading to the bedrooms. He saw two masked, hooded women in dark clothing and woke up everyone.
Griego yelled for her children and hid them in one room. While the couple's friend fought off the first woman, Beck took on the other.
"She came at me with a stun gun, and I instinctively blocked it with my arm, and I hit her in the head, then proceeded to jump on top of her," Beck said. "I grabbed my sword on the mantle, unsheathed it and told her to sit down, that if she moved, she would lose body parts."
West Jordan police arrested Blackwing and Southwick at the house. The two were charged with aggravated burglary, retaliation against a witness/victim and aggravated assault.
Beck and Griego say they immediately recognized the pair, even with their disguises.
The women who were arrested are the sister-wives of Beck's half-brother, Kain Blackwing, Beck said and investigators have confirmed. One is legally married to him.
At the time of the break-in, Kain Blackwing was in Salt Lake County Jail awaiting trial for the alleged rape of Griego's then 14-year-old daughter.
Beck and Griego believe the women had come to their home to kill their daughter - the victim and witness in the case.
"They had knives; ...a small container of Formalin, which I guess is used to knock somebody out," Beck said...

Freak clan
Beyond Freak.
“Tylynn”
Another made up ghetto name.
Blackwing.... southwick.....
Sounds more like a coven of witches....
Doing this in defense of a child rapist, they deserve real long sentences
Meth, it’s a hell of a drug.
Meth much?
Sounds like they’re going away for awhile.
The stray story I read about these type of events in Utah and Arizona usually deals with the young female victims. To be sure, they are such. But with polygamy in a world with a nearly 50/50 male/female birth rate, the unwanted (by the patriarch’s clique) younger boys are discarded in one way or another.
Funny, they must not be real hard core Mormons because the one on the left has a “drink Coca Cola” shirt on and I thought you couldn’t have caffeinated beverages in that religion.
Raven and Tylynn
Clearly Amish
That is a part of the reason why Islam is such a disaster.
Utah has a subculture of various polygamist groups. The ones that have fascinated the public lately have been based on religious beliefs. This particular one is secular and uses martial arts as the unifying guide for its group identity. I’ve heard there are also lesbian polygamist groups that basically keep the husband as basically the stud for a community of women. It is interesting to see these non religious types get media attention.
Well, groups like this don't rise up in a vacuum. Utah has LONG been home to upwards of 25,000 people involved in polygamous families. So, my guess would be that if you check some of the people involved re: their genealogy you'd find polygamy in their Utah family history.
If a Mormon (member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) commits polygamy they are excommunicated, period.
These criminals are no more "Mormons" than Colofornian is.
But why let telling a vile lie get in the way of titillating slander ?
Huge (false) assumption.
What you claim is like saying all Presbyterians or all Baptists or all Lutherans belong to the same denomination.
(Hint: They don't)
The fundamentalist Mormons practice & promote polygamy.
What's really strange over these years is that we've had many a FR thread discussing if Mormons are "Christian" or not...and perhaps some of the same "Mormons-are-Christians" crowd who don't like precise definitions become suddenly precise when it comes to defining a "mormon."

“(Can you say r-e-l-i-g-i-o-u-s h-y-p-o-c-r-i-s-y?) “
can you admit religious bigotry against mormons? an all consuming obsession that causes you to post anything you can find that makes mormons look bad? you must have had a really bad experience with someone who was a mormon, or with their church, to create an incurable scar in your psyche which compels you to behave in this manner? if this is the case, i hope, at some point you can find peace in your own religious convictions, and offer forgiveness to those who have offended you.
As a Christian, we are counseled not to judge, nor to condemn, but to forgive. As we read in Luke 6:37 - “Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:”
