I hope the catch the people responsible and charge them for individual counts of animal cruelty for each dead chicken and the judge sentences them upon conviction to the maximum on each count to be served consecutively.
That might not deter others in the anti-farming vegan nut job lunatic asylum, but it will take those responsible of the street for the rest of their natural lives.
Had a boss that worked on an egg farm as a kid. He dropped a bucket of eggs. He and his family were fired, the hens getting a taste of yolk, had to be culled.
FWIW, I just d/l'd "Love Among the Chickens" from Libravox, having come across a Wodehouse reference, and checked out the site to see if anything was new.
"Roup" and painting chickens throats with turpentine was also new to me.

I have been to one of those egg producing places in Iowa, the conditions of the chickens was horrific... thousands of them crammed into huge walls with conveyor belts running to deliver the eggs... and all run by illegals the Corps hire to run them so they dont have to pay them...
I grew up near several farms, the lives of the chickens was nothing like what i saw there.
This is a heartbreaking story for these farmers and their faimilies. Most people will see it as a “ho hum” report.
I hope they catch the perp and that he gets whatever the max is for vandalism!
I think that If I was one of the chicken farmers, I would have a guard around there at night. Or I would start living there at night with my gun myself.
