On Feb. 2, 2015, on the heels of the State of the Union Address, the Obama Administration released its budget proposal for the 2016 fiscal year, accompanied by the Treasury Department's General Explanation of the Administration's Fiscal Year 2016 Revenue Proposals (colloquially known as the Greenbook).[1] Given the percentage of his previous proposals that have been passed and the newly-elected Republican majority in both houses of Congress, the vast majority of the proposals in the Greenbook are unlikely to become law during President Obama's last two years in office. However, they are worth noting, as they identify the focus points of the President's revenue initiatives and may ultimately become bargaining chips in the legislative process. The President's proposal includes a suite of tax reforms primarily aimed at increasing the tax burden borne by wealthy individuals. The President couched these proposals in a populist tone, arguing that his proposals "close the loopholes that lead to inequality by allowing the top one percent to avoid paying taxes on their accumulated wealth."[2] This may sound like a familiar tuneit echoes the last year's plan to "reduce inefficient and unfair tax breaks," fiscal year 2014's plan to have "the wealthiest pay their fair share" and fiscal year 2013's plan to ensure that "everyone shoulders their fair share."

If you have a job in Obies economy ... you’re wealthy.
Of course this doesn’t apply to the Warren Buffets out there. If you really want to soak the 1%, go after the foundations - which are usually leftist.
Because paying tax on your money once just isn’t enough!
You did not make that, If you want your estate you can keep your estate/s
As I have always felt, what they don’t know or what you don’t list they cannot tax. F em.
Did the 43% of Americans who didn't pay a dime in federal income taxes in 2013 shoulder their fair share?
Watch this bastard. If you worked hard legally and saved money he wants it to give to his best buddies, the indolent whiney self-pitying ‘oppressed’ underclass.
Wouldn’t it be great if those who want Big Government telling them what do do from before birth until after death would have to pay for it themselves. The Big Government Security Tax wouldn’t last very long if the rest of us could opt out.
Where are the intelligent people who just want government to take care of its narrow Constitutional duty of protecting citizens from enemies, both foreign and domestic? We should be able to figure out a way to exempt ourselves from the ravages of Democrat/Republican government control, just as Congress exempts itself from Obamacare and other legislation they have passed. Exemptions for all or for none!
Heads of “NON PROFITS” typically make a LOT of money.
Hmmmm, imagine the future without liberal trust fund babies...
Why should someone who worked hard and saved all their lives have money to retire on when there are poor crack-addicted welfare mamas with nothing in savings? It’s just not fair!
Plank #3 of the Communist Manifesto - Elimination of all rights of inheritance.
They are exempt, silly.
Now, they have nothing to steal from me.
I propose that we modify the alternative minimum tax (AMinT) so that regardless of any deductions, everyone must pay 5%. I also propose that there be an alternative maximum tax (AMaxT) of 25%. So that a person who chooses to pay 25% of their income, need not worry about paying any other federal taxes.
If you like your broker...
LOL
Same here...Big government has put me into underachiever mode.
Have you ever heard one of these mealy mouthed mf'rs ever state exactly how much a fair share is?
They won’t be happy until everyone else is as poor and miserable as they are. That’s equality in the communist’s mind.
