Some of us remember America of fifty years ago. Vastly, vastly different than what we see now.
In your opinion, what will America be in another fifty years?
They will find out soon enough if they can remember back...
While waiting for “Hunger Games” to start, I asked my fourteen-year-old son what was the point of the movies. He said, “This is where we’ll be if things go bad.” I won’t be here fifty years from now, but he should be. I pray every day that a “Hunger Games”-type vision is just fiction.

What’s an America?
Immortality will be cracked.
Millions of drones in the air at any one time.
There will be no discernible difference between night and day for virtually any human activity.
Seasons will be irrelevant.
We may have actual space elevators by then.
It will not be compatible with “unaltered” human beings - both physically and intellectually speaking.
Distance will be irrelevant.
There will be long term colonies on the bottom of the ocean as well as antarctica. There will probably be the same on the moon, mars and perhaps other moons within our solar system. And thanks to 3D printed Graphene they will be mostly simple inflatable “buildings”. Even when exposed to the vacuum of space. Space stations could be similarly constructed.
There will be lots of high speed underground tube transportation. Oil will be cheap, not only because it is abundant but because solar power will be cheaper and more efficient. There will be almost (if not literally) NO reason to go to a particular place to perform your job unless it requires physical interaction with other people.
The walls of every room in your living space will be ultra high definition floor to ceiling 3D video monitors giving you the ability to “think” you are anywhere in the world you want to be - or on a space station or on Mars. In fact, it could be a live “webcast” from anywhere in the world at the press of a button. Visit downtown Paris at night and then immediately switch to a beach in Hawaii. Ride with a man in his glider. Visit the great barrier reef. All in souround vision in 3D and in real time.
Most people will get their sexual pleasure without the involvement of another human being.
IOW, I expect the Lord to return in less than 50 years.
The dollar will be where the pound is, I.e., not the world reserve currency.
America will be two or even four countries, comparable to the Former Soviet Union.
To comply with the law, people will carry trackers which also function as wallets and permit operation of Authorized Vehicles.
Spanish will be REQUIRED for any form of employment.
I think about the next 5, 10, 20, 50 years ALL THE TIME. All I know is it’s going to be very interesting. Probably not in a good way.

I agree with everything you said and I will add it will be a sparely inhabited living hell. It will take repentance and arms to stop this devolution, I see neither on the horizon.
Our country will be unrecognizable, not even a memory. The victors write the history.

I think it is probably accurate.
I won’t be here to see it, but I have absolutely no doubt our grandchildren will be cussing us for the mess our generation has left behind.
But before the kingdom of heaven on earth is established, desperate nations will seek the security of despotism under a pretender who feigns benevolence but is as malevolent as can be. It’s all in there!
