Maybe the schools should star teaching the TRUE HISTORY of our once great nation. Instead of the Leftists dream of the evil we have done to the world. We WERE the best influence that ever happened to the world. Sadly, this Admin has squandered the good will and has put us on the path to ruin.
I gave my mother’s 1931 World Books encyclopedia set to Goodwill a few years ago.
I’m a tosser and often regret it.
They don’t emphasize what is bad about America
They flat out make it up.
Well, there's always A Patriot's History of the United States: From Columbus's Great Discovery to Americas Age of Entitlement by (Freeper) Larry Schweikart and Michael Patrick Allen.
I enjoyed AP History when I took it many years ago. The teacher was a hard-core leftist, and the text was left-leaning, but the work I put in formulating arguments against him and it helped me develop my critical thinking skills as well as persuasive writing and speaking.
I’ll bet you’ve also never been to England.

I wanted to get APUSH certified, but the course is now full-blown leftism.
while they’re ( we’re - I live in OK ) at it - get rid of Joy Hoffmeister - might as well be a progressive. I ended up at a dinner with her before the election, stayed to talk to her about Common Core. Eye to eye, toe to toe, she told me she didn’t have a problem with it. Not what she said in the months that followed while she ran her campaign ...
Oh,boy !
I’ve been to England a few times but that word never came up in any conversation.
Now I feel like a bloody fool.

May be the best reply on this thread!
"That which does not kill us makes us stronger."
An old Kraut
What can you do? We have a situation where Common Core was rammed down the throats of the states - with the bait, ironically, of an offer of relief from Ted Kennedys "No Child Left Behind (yeah, I know W Bush ran on it - but he sublet it to Ted Kennedy) monstrosity. Common Core is reactionary against the American Revolution. A shocking amount of HS history education is Marxist. See, for example, Zinns Peoples History of the United States.
Ping.
I don’t think AP is the basic problem. Even regular history classes carry an anti-traditional American, anti-white, anti-western bias. Why? Because that’s how the teachers are trained in university.
At least you often regret it.
;-)
