The United Nation’s climate chief says that reordering the global economy to fight climate change is the “most difficult” task the international body has ever undertaken.
“This is probably the most difficult task we have ever given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model, for the first time in human history,” Christiana Figueres, who heads up the U.N.’s Framework Convention on Climate Change, told reporters.
“This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for the, at least, 150 years, since the industrial revolution,” Figueres said.

I was assuming (and your know what to “assume” does) that they had some small fraction of an IQ point, just to keep their bodies functioning. I fortgot that amoeba do not need any IQ.
Yesterday I had a brief Twitter exchange with a GW embracer who warned me there were new computer models and analyses showing that AGW is really really real. I asked for links and got them. I said thanks, I will review and respond. I didn’t see anything specific or compelling at his links, but before I respond to him nice try and goodbye I figured it might be worthwhile to run the links by people who pay more attention to the ongoing GW debate than I do. (I will be spending my free time on WWII for the next 7 months or so.) If there is some devastating refutation of the cited reports they might get through to a larger Twitter audience via our little discussion. So if you are of a mind to, please check out the links and give me whatever feedback you care to.
