If you aren’t familiar with Kraftwerk check out “The Man Machine”, an album they released in 1978. This where today’s Techno/EDM comes from, and I don’t think it ever sounded better.

Autobahn was a real game changer, never heard anything like it before.
I discovered their pre-Autobahn stuff when they used more acoustic instruments like guitars and flutes, some real cool stuff there.

Interesting that everybody has mentioned the post breakup Kraftwerk. For a listen to the early experimental electronic Kwerk try the 1973 double LP named (appropriately enough) “Kraftwerk” or something from the spin-off group “Neu”
