On Tuesday we ran a story detailing how much new regulations issued by the Obama administration in 2014 were going to cost the economy this year (and beyond). The figure was hardly insignificant $181.5 billion in new compliance costs imposed on several industries that will ultimately be passed along to consumers in the form of higher prices for goods and services. Add these new costs to the $2 trillion annual cost of earlier regulations, and you begin to see how compliance costs reduce productivity, cut down on employment and curb business expansion.
But there is more to these regulations than the costs they impose on our economy. Each new rule represents another expansion of the federal bureaucracy, and with each expansion Americans lose just a little more of their freedom and liberty.

That’s because Ted Cruz didn’t deliver the rebuttal, which he should have.
Bull. Joni Ernst specifically talked about undoing executive overreach. Go blog with facts.
Liberty doesn’t line the pockets of the ruling class. Liberty is anathema to the current worldwide plutocracy running things. The Internet is the last bastion of freedom in an otherwise dimly lit world.
Did she say anything about impeaching or arresting the Pres_ent? No? Then she didn’t discuss restoring Liberty. Not that it’s a surprise, really. The R’s do not want Liberty either. If they did, they would have arrested the POS thug, and repealed Obolacare by now. Screw em.
I disagree. I'd say it's because neither the Republicans (with a few exceptions) nor the Democrats (with no exceptions) have the slightest interest in restoring liberty.
go back and re-read...you proved my point....Cruz is one of the FEW EXCEPTIONS you were referring to. In fact, you MADE my point for me - in different words.
I'm trying to decide if you're
Now I’m in the wrong for poorly chosing MY words. I was agreeing with your concept, but not how you phrased it. Cruz would never be ALLOWED to present the rebuttal because well you know the rest.
oh yes, I know why he was not allowed - and I agree with you on that fo shizzle..... and I know why Ernst was over handled and over consulted - but there ARE some who would have been awesome at the rebuttal, Cruz chief among them IMO.
Belligerent? Absolutely. One of the most...
Douche bag?: Matter of opinion I suppose. I might say SOB, ornery cuss.
Poor reading comp?: Oh, no way - not even close....180 degrees wrong.
So call it 1-1-1 on your theory (just having fun here I hope you know...)

The GOP can hardly get out of their own way much less be champions for Liberty. My initial expectations for the 2015 Congress have so far not been exceeded.
“Executive overreach” is an offense against congress.
Curtailing liberty is an offense against we, the people.
You might wish to season your comments with facts, FRiend.
There! Fixed it.
Obama and RINOs are just different sides of the same Progressive Movement coin, fighting to control state powers which the corrupt feds have stolen from the states, just like dogs fight over a stick.
Wrong. Ernst talked generalities, and as a political punchline. She did NOT talk about dismantling the federal bureaucracy, the most unaccountable part of the federal government and the part MOST responsible for the destruction of liberty.
