This is from the Patriots Packers game back in November.
Listen as they explain how Aaron Rodgers once told them, "I like to push the limits to how much air we can put in the football, even go over what they allow you to do and see if the officials take air out of it" because he thinks its easier for him to grip.

Apologize for the last sentence.. thought I took that out.
For the record, yeah j hate the patriots ever since they cheated the panthers out of a Super Bowl win. I, for one, hope they go down in flames that are epic and talked about for generations. Cheating Belicheck can rot.
Perhaps the deflated balls were because Brady likes them and the idea was to help him if it rained.
In other words, the deflated balls were meant to help them rather than being done to harm the Colts.
In other news I heard that the Colts really suck at Nerf Football.
Oh yea, Pats cheated, went into the game with the intention to cheat. The play of the game and outcome does not matter. They have no honor.
Who is Aaron Rodgers?
Who was in charge when the Miami Dolphins were near the goalposts when the Patriots called for a snow removaltaking away the Dolphin's inertia?
Next time they have a game in rainy conditions, they should inflate the game balls with uranium hexafluoride gas.
I am a fan of both the Packers and the Patriots. I remember the conversation in the booth about Rodgers liking to have the ball over-inflated and thought nothing of it other than must have huge hands. Sounded to me like common practice to inflate the ball to the players liking.
Patriot derangement syndrome is amazing to watch.
Getting beat by 38 points means you need to play better defense and quit whining about 2 pounds of air. I beat 99% of people on this planet couldn’t tell the difference in two balls with 2 pounds difference in them.
Wanna bet that the many of the deranged are the first to throw hissy fits when Obama repeatedly ignores the Constitution?
I could care less about that particular game. I think what is really bothering people is this culture of cheeating that NE fosters, and I for one hopes that the NFL does something about it.
btw...2 psi is hell of a lot difference in the feel of the ball.
Commercial television star who will, happily, be watching the Super Bowl with most of the rest of America.
I have no dog in the hunt, but if your only complaint is under-inflated balls instead of not playing defense then maybe you need to examine your game plan. Besides the refs handle every ball between every play and they did not seem to be able to tell either so I doubt it had any impact.
In the interview referenced Rogers explains a over inflated ball is not an advantage as it is harder to catch. But a under - inflated one is an advantage for the receiver.
Basically there is a consistent pattern, patriots continue to cheat. What else have they done they don’t get caught at? Would they have beaten the Ravens the previous week in a close game?
I am a Saints fan, and we got drubbed in penalties for our bounty scandal, when in essence, it happens more in the NFL that anyone admits. How about some parity?
And here, we have the Pats, who pretty much skate. After this, maybe the NFL will start watching Belechick and Company a little closer.
