Thank You for the Ping Publius!

Ping to Sarah's Amazing List!

I sure am glad that Mitt gets, one or two or three or hell, four chances to get the GOP nomination.

But any real Conservative it's one and done.

Sarah posted on her Facebook today that the future of our Country is at stake, and one of the steps of preventing that is to Fundamentally Change the GOP so we can do a Fundamental Restoration of America.

Which she and others will be working very hard toward this year.

Having an All Powerful god-King on the Left or the Right isn't a good thing.

It shows we can be lead.

She never will run, not as long as she has a family she feels she must protect no matter what.

There is no "bringing jobs back" to the United States. There are no jobs to bring back and further, it is not the function of government to do so. What we need to do is get government out of the way and allow more jobs to be CREATED within the United States by the private sector.

THANK YOU, Sam!!!

CNN, for the love of God, STOP with the empty sloganeering already!!!!! Sam is RIGHT, and you are annoying, because "bring back American jobs!" is insultingly shallow and trite. Any candidate who promised it would be highly suspect in my book; on the other hand, any candidate who promised to reduce government would be acting to "bring back American jobs." YOU BOOB!!!!

Stop justifying ever-more offshoring.

America has been sending American jobs elsewhere now for one entire generation.
,
It is time to bring jobs, back to America.

The problem IMHO is that Americans are not willing to pay 50 cents more for tube socks in order to support the American worker.

I venture to say that increasing the price of tube socks by 50 cents, or a dollar, or more, will do nothing to "support the American worker." No matter what the price of socks are established at, we will never go back to employing Americans to make them.

Now why would you even want to bring the textile industry back to America in the first place? This was always considered "sweat-shop" type work. Would you want your children working in a sweat shop?

Most clothing today is being manufactured by machine and in future years, you will be able to have your body precisely measured and clothes will be custom made (by machine) for your exact body shape.

So let's stop living in the past and start thinking about the future. Instead of griping that American workers aren't sitting on some antiquated assembly line sewing together your sweat socks for you, let's concentrate on devising some robotics technology that will custom make clothing as well as developing a smartphone app that will use the in-board camera to measure the contours of your body and a web portal that can receive and fill orders.

This is where we need to be. Apple gets it. Google gets it. As well a hundreds of other high tech upstarts who will drive the economy of the 21st century.

Bring the sweatshops back to America? Forget about it.

There isn’t much that politicians can do to generate jobs other than provide an environment free of hassles and taxes and stand back. Unfortunately, very few are willing to do that.

A couple of points. First the US is and remains a huge manufacturing power. It just uses automated processes. Labor is far too expensive here.

As for handing the future to China, that’s already happened. The US has been a powerhouse because it has had a very well educated and very entrepreneurial population. A generation plus of state socialism courtesy of the uniparty has pretty much stamped that out. There are still some pockets, but for the most part that ship has sailed.

I think there is much more than that, that our politicians can do to bring back American production.

They can do quite a lot. They can change the laws so that American production is encouraged, and American producers can bring their production right back here.

They can do this.

Unfortunately right now, all of our politicians are for sale, to the very people who sent our industry to China.

GOP stand up for America.

Don’t wait for the democrats. Once the democrats stand up, America will be finished.

Stand up for American jobs.

Right now.
