Geez, I really struck a nerve here by reminding people of the truth.

I remember hearing awhile back that when you are involved in a discussion and your adversary starts calling you names you have effectively have won the debate since they have no argument against the truth.

Didn't get to watch much of them this year, but those young ladies were awesome in the Final, and it'll be a very long time before Rose's dynasty is topped, if ever.

Your caption in #1 says it all .. their performances exemplify the competition and sportsmanship of truly amateur athletics.

Yes, the Creamery still has Peach Paterno as well as a new flavor named after Russ Rose. It is very good ice cream.

UConn has a ice cream flavor called ‘Midnight Madness’ which has orange coated malted milk balls...in honor of the basketball teams.

I must admit a bit of guilty schadenfreude when it comes to the downfall of the vaunted holier and mightier than certainly thou “Joe Pa” and his team of wanna-be footballers (Penn State in the Big 10? Really?!) but...

...this thread is about an entirely different sport at that school. I really don't think it's fair to lump these ladies in with the sleaze over in the football department. JM2C (just my two cents). They and their coach had nothing to do with covering up pedophilia (which I do believe at least Paterno was complicit in, if not other higher ups in the athletic department).
