Normally, in a situation like this, people eventually catch on and say, "Wow. That's not working well. That's harmful. We should behave differently."

Human social patterns have historically been self-correcting, given some time.

But nowadays, all the experts and academics look at the disaster of the modern American family and say, "This is great. This is modern, This is diverse. It's never been better. Keep going -- more, more, more."

Well, ya know, when people can vote other people’s money to compensate...and get priority when they do so for being irresponsible...that the consequences are much less clear, and the self-correcting far more muddled.
