The owner of my local vacuum store says that Riccar, made in Missouri, is the best. I have one. If any prospective boyfriend wanted to bring me a second one, I would accept it happily: Anoreth arrived yesterday with a shedding dog.

My Dad got Mom an iron one year. The problem was, she'd forgot she'd ever said she wanted one. It was...strained... Sometimes you really can't win.

Best thing we've done in years .... last April, the half of the house that was still carpeted got switched over to ceramic tile.

The Oreck and rug shampoo machine have been retired, and the whole house can be dustmopped into one little pile for a handheld suckup in less than 15 minutes.
