They are a lot smarter than they look, I’ve seen some amazing things by watching critters.

Turtles ARE smarter than people realize. I raised an Eastern Painted for years, from the size of a nickel until he was as big as my hand. He was NOT stupid.

Then one night, while he dreamed in his summer ‘kiddie pool’ enclosure, ‘Something’ came along, tore up the chicken wire; and turtle disappeared.

We never found any debris; and I like to think it was just a raccoon who took him to the creek, and Margareto now has many progeny :-)

Because turtles can’t wear those medical call pendants

An atheist is bound to point to this and say,

“See? See? Altruistic behavior doesn’t require a belief in a god & doesn’t even require human intelligence!!”

Well, atheists don’t understand Spirit; and the fact that everything that is alive has Spirit in it. Spirit is God in all of us - critters, too; and the land and the seas, etc.

Otherwise, all of this “creation” would just be a dead thing,
feeling nothing, knowing nothing, never changing. It would be LIFE-less.

Or maybe the tortoise can’t mate with another tortoise who is laying on its back. The tortoise that was saved didn’t even bother to say thank you.

Probably because the other tortoise took his sweet time getting it done...

How do you know? Do you speak tortoise?

He probably said "OK buddy, thanks for the lift. I'll meet you down at the salad bar and the lettuce is on me."

Everything has ‘polarity’; but not everything is about ‘sex’ or the desire to sexually ‘mate’.

Playing it certainly does (if the game is what you mean). There is a positive/negative “pole” to everything.
