Obama gave North Korea a way into Sony’s computers for the release of Matthew Miller and Kenneth Bae
I’m mostly curious about what Hollywood is willing to take this much of a hit to hide.
I’m betting there is some really bad stuff that they’re trying to hide.
I didn’t want to read the whole review and spoil myself, because I still intend on seeing it when I get the chance. From the few paragraphs I read, it sounds like it might misfire, just being the wrong topic for these particular guys’ brand of comedy. I normally get a kick out of their films, but they are not subtle social or political satirists, that is for sure.
“I almost think the North Koreans are bluffing about 9/11 type attacks, but I understand why some theaters dont want to show this now.”
It’s really a shame though, because this might be a sensible decision for one business, but it’s the wrong decision for the nation. We shouldn’t fold to our enemies, especially not flabby little brats like the one in Pyongyang.
All it will take is for a few small theaters to give showings. Meanwhile, now that we know that the North Koreans actually are behind this, it would be nice for our President to interrupt his vacation plans to speak about it. I’m not holding my breath.
I don’t go to comedies or watch any sitcoms as Hollyweird’s values and mine and what they fine humorous do not align with me. Jeff Allen or Red Skelton is my speed.
They can keep their crap.
Looks like they chose the “French dropped rifle for sale approach” ...that is, dropped once, never fired.
That's Seth Rogen's real personality in a nutshell.
Gee you sure are cynical.........just like me.
Came out this morning that Sony gave a pre-release viewing of this film to to the State Department a few months ago. Now golly, it could not be possible that Comrade Kerry’s fellow travelers at Foggy Bottom and the Outhouse could have tipped off Pyongyang could it ?
BTW, are we still giving North Korea a half billion dollars a year under that program started by Hillary and Bill Clinton in the 90s?
Well, with reviews like this, the movie is going to have a hard time winning a North Korean Academy Award. My money’s on DEAR LEADER LOOKS AT A HILL for Best Picture.
I was just thinking to myself as this was playing out, what would the reaction be if Sony had portrayed His Arrogance as the subject for the storyline? Black queer freaky president to be interviewed and done away with by a couple of hack reporters (sorry CNN). Best guess is that the Semi-Secret Service and Progressives hypocrites would be all over it trying to stop its showing.
It’ll be on Netflix by January.
Best PR stunt since Paul McCartney’s death
16,000 more emails that the Norks are threatening to release. Angelina Jolie is already pissed off about what execs said about her in private emails, and if Sony pisses off all their talent then they're out of business.
Sony's not worried about theaters getting blown up, they're worried about those emails getting released. What they don't realize yet, is that the emails will probably get out anyway.
I don’t care about Jolie. I’m really interested in what the execs are saying about politicians and the public.
Well gee, glad you got that off your chest. Next time I have an opinion I’ll run it by you first. OK chief?
You obviously have no idea what a discussion site is about. Obviously you have only been here a short time. You don’t ask permission for giving opinions here. Good Lord I think you may think you are more important then you are.
Yeah I’ve only been posting here for 16 years. But I guess eventually I’ll learn the ropes and maybe figure out what a ‘discussion site’ is all about. In the meantime maybe you should look up the word ‘sarcasm’ in the dictionary so you don’t make a complete idiot of yourself in the future.
Thanks for playing.
