This petty little man is so full of himself and his lies.
He used to show children how to simulate a volcano eruption with baking soda and vinegar.
And now he's a preeminent climate change expert?

Nye is an actor. An entertainer, a comedian.
Derangement from reality.

Yo, Bill, if it wasn't for Climate Change, there'd be no such thing as The Great Lakes, Niagara Falls, Yosemite National Park, The U.K., etc.
All these natural wonders were either carved out by advancing and retreating glaciers over tens of thousands of years or were under a mile of ice.
So stick that in your Bunsen burner and smoke it.

I grew up with Isaac Asimov and Carl Sagan as my introduction to science
I grew up with Julius Sumner Miller (Demonstrations in Physics)....Physics was his business. An experiment never failed, you just failed to meet the specific requirements of the experiment.

Bill Nye peaked as one of the "Almost Live" troupe.
Been downhill since then.

If I recall my early sciences classes, true scientists would never declare any aspect of science as settled, nor would they ever use the word “denier” to describe those who challenge their theories.
Nye & his ilk are nothing but propagandists.

Ah, they disagree with the term “skeptic” and would choose instead to equate people who disagree with them with the loaded term “denier”, as in “holocaust denier”.
I would be a lot of money that they would excuse any “Palestinian” that was an ACTUAL “denier” of the holocaust.

If you knew anything about vulcanology, you’d know that a volcanic eruption occurs when vinegar rises from deep within the Earth’s mantle and reacts with baking soda in the crust.
But I guess that you’re one of those deniers!

Nye would fail even the most elementary of questions concerning the actual physics of CO2 and its interaction with electromagnetic waves.
For that matter, it would appear that a good deal of the so-called “climate researchers” would also.

I liked Mr. Wizard.
But these days if you don’t believe that Bill Nye is actually a scientist and not an entertainer, they you are considered anti-science.

The "statement" . . . .
Proper skepticism promotes scientific inquiry, critical investigation, and the use of reason in examining controversial and extraordinary claims. It is foundational to the scientific method. Denial, on the other hand, is the a priori rejection of ideas without objective consideration. The scientific method includes submitting one's research, methodology and results to be analyzed and replicated. This is where all the models fail. They are considered proprietary intellectual property and the results are reported, but not the methodology.
Additionally, as each successive model produces scenarios that do not comport with the preceding models, that seems to be an invalidation of any preceding model where differences transpire.

Anyone who can say “the science is settled”, without treating the statement as a joke, is not a real scientist. Even Newton’s laws of motion were modified twice in the past century (special relativity and quantum).

Nye has joined with 47 scientists, science writers, and other experts who issued a statement taking the media to task for using the phrase climate skeptic, saying that the word denier is more accurate. As usual, Nye has gotten it completely wrong.
The more accurate label is "heretic", a dissenter from established religious dogma.
