The "statement" . . . .
Proper skepticism promotes scientific inquiry, critical investigation, and the use of reason in examining controversial and extraordinary claims. It is foundational to the scientific method. Denial, on the other hand, is the a priori rejection of ideas without objective consideration.

The scientific method includes submitting one's research, methodology and results to be analyzed and replicated. This is where all the models fail. They are considered proprietary intellectual property and the results are reported, but not the methodology.

Additionally, as each successive model produces scenarios that do not comport with the preceding models, that seems to be an invalidation of any preceding model where differences transpire.

Anyone who can say “the science is settled”, without treating the statement as a joke, is not a real scientist. Even Newton’s laws of motion were modified twice in the past century (special relativity and quantum).

Nye has joined with 47 “scientists, science writers, and other experts” who issued a statement “taking the media to task for using the phrase ‘climate skeptic,’ saying that the word ‘denier’ is more accurate.”

As usual, Nye has gotten it completely wrong.

The more accurate label is "heretic", a dissenter from established religious dogma.

And that is exactly why Einstein was a true scientist, because he never left something as 100% and questioned everything. That is what every scientist should be doing.

His videos were way better than an actual science lesson in school, let me tell you that.
