Either way, the new “Darts” share nothing with the venerable Dodge Dart heritage.

Wait until someone notes the similarity with their new name and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Leftist heads will explode!

Don’t tell me they want to bring back the “Chrysler Newport” name too.

FIAT also stands for Failed Italian Attempt at Transportation.

I like the Fiat 500L but not buying one until I know I won’t be constantly visiting Tony. FIAT has to know it has this reputation and perhaps it needs to do what Hyundai did and offer a 100 K bumper-to-bumper warranty.

There were many good reasons for Fiat’s exit from the US some years ago.

There appears to be hope for FCA.

GM, however? Meh.

But....

Please save the ‘Vette! Throw all the rest of your worthless trash away.

Camaro no good?

I’m not fond of what they did to the Impala. Just should have kept the Lumina name, if anything.

Of course, in this era of centralization, there’s zero chance of car makes actually being spun off and then being subject to actual innovation and competition.

The ONLY reason the 500 is for sale here is to bolster the CAFE ratings.

As for a longer warranty, forget it. Plan on selling any FCA vehicle after two years at a significant loss or ponying up for major repairs.

Yes, and VW owns Porsche, Lamborghini and Bugatti. Fiat also owns Maserati, Abarth and Alfa Romeo.

Fiat’s been looking to sell off its stake in Ferrari of late.

I disagree, they are both enhanced versions of an economy car, and they will both fall apart and rust out after seven or eight years.
