Logic beats emotion every time.

Uh, Sarah, you are mistaken. Yes, there are some supremely stupid men, several of whom are highlighted in each year’s Darwin Awards. Men tend to showboat, whether they are intelligent or not. The dumber ones, or the unluckier ones, pay a price for that.
Women TEND to be more emotional, and men TEND to be more logical/analytical. Logic and analysis require the use of higher brain functions. Emotion is, essentially, instinct. It doesn’t require too much in the way of higher brain functions...though, of course, many women will seek to justify emotional decisions with logic (their logic, not male logic). Don’t take any of this to mean that women are not as intelligent as men - the general intelligence level of both genders is probably about equal, but the two types of intelligence used are different. Apples & oranges, folks.
What Sarah misses is that men are usually risk takers. That’s why our 2,000th great grandpa Og rubbed some sticks together to create fire, despite Mrs. Og nagging him about it being dangerous and smelling up the cave. Men, because they are risk takers, are much more responsible for technological progress and for us being at the top of the food chain, while women tend to civilize men and make life more worthwhile and pleasant (well, except when they’re pissed off at you, then you WANT to eat a gun just to make it stop).
Bottom line: men and women are different. The ends of the Bell Curve are filled mostly with men, while women tend to inhabit the middle. That’s not a judgment, its an observation.
Sarah - now SHE is stupid, because she doesn’t recognize any of this. She might not die shortly after saying, “Hey, hold my beer and watch this!” ... but she is definitely one of the duller knives in the drawer for failing to see something so obvious.

MrB, you are right on. A ‘mother’s instinct’ is not without merit. Logic has its place, i.e. mathematics. But emotion has its place in decision making as well. Emotion is based on instinct. More oft than not, my emotion has served me well. Whereas my logic not so much.
What is called “instinct” and “intuition” is simply allowing every fact in your inventory to interact.
Men don’t think that way.

I get what you’re saying. In what I’ve experienced/observed, this is how men operate. The downfall is that ‘said men’ don’t take time to think through how to tackle the problem to ensure a fail proof outcome-they literally tackle it instantly without much forethought. Whereas I like to think for a minute about different strategies and outcomes. In other words, I only want to touch it once.
AGAIN I’m not implying this about all men. Just my own experiences.

There’s no “bowing down” - I “give consideration” to intuition. You’d be a fool to ignore it.
As a Christian father, I do understand that it is my responsibility to make the final decisions.
But, as “one flesh”, we’d be stupid to dismiss all counsel from our other half.
I guess we can agree to disagree. As a Christian if you cannot see that women are guided more by emotion than men, then I don’t know what to tell you. It is that way by design.
This isn’t about making final decisions. I read enough about how men are inferior to women, constantly, all of the time, so I guess I get a bit aggravated when I see wuss men just bowing down trying to ingratiate themselves to women. It’s almost like you are asking to be forgiven because you were born an inferior man!
I am not saying that I want to insult women, or that I think they are inferior, but I know that I do not need to see men cowering so they do not offend a woman.

Yes, and women are perfect, they ponder all of their decisions while weighing the facts and pros and cons before acting. Really? Are you going with that? Women use emotion to decide things waaaayyyyyy MORE than men do.

That's all well and good ... until you encounter a problem that demands a solution RIGHT XXXXING NOW ... and halfway in to that minute you're dead. Sometimes, a poor solution implemented with speed and vigor beats a good solution delayed in implementation.
Really, so now you stand up to someone? Well I guess since I am not a woman there is no reason for you to bow down to me.
By the way, don’t tell me what I see. You can deny it all you want, but I see what is there.
