Protests over police killings in Missouri and New York turned violent in Berkeley, Calif., for the second night in a row as demonstrators vandalized businesses and blocked traffic on a freeway.

"I did a few things that, you know, I'm not too proud of but, you know, I felt like it was all for a good cause at the time," protester Gary Leroy told KRON TV.

Protesters threw rocks and bottles at police who responded with tear gas.

The protests came in the wake of a grand jury's decision last week not to indict a New York police officer involved in the death of Eric Garner, and a similar decision in Ferguson, Mo., following the shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown.

In the little Berkley area, just north of Oakland, it is illegal to not have a “Peace Symbol” adorned on your attire, that is if you have chosen to wear clothes at all. If you have elected to go naked as part of your self expression, you are exempt from the local regulation.

Also, it is a misdameanor to speak ill of liberals, democrats, entitlement recipients, women, minorities, etc. in Berkely. Finally, if you are caught driving a fossil fueled vehicle in Berkely, you are arrested and brought before the environmental council for judgement and sentencing. Lucidity, free of synthetic medicinal influence is also frowned upon in Berkely. It is wise to stay high.

This last point is obviously the problem in the Utopia that is Berkely. If only more people were high on weed, they would not protest violently or with clothes on. Berkely needs to solve this problem by giving out free pot.

(If I need a sarcasm tag, YOU need more pot too.)

WTO meetings. Occupy Wall Street. Ferguson protests. Whenever lefties gather together mayhem ensues, and destruction, looting, physical violence, and filth occurs as a result. I thought these were supposed to be people who loved peace and are worried about maintaining nature in a pristine state. Yeah, right. We know that’s a crock of s***!

"I did a few things that, you know, I'm not too proud of but, you know, I felt like it was all for a good cause at the time."

I've learned that when a sentence contains a "but", you can ignore everything that comes before that word. In this case, yes, he was proud of what he did. If he was ashamed of it, he wouldn't have admitted to it.
