Abortion brings a woman into “deeper communion” with God, says prochoicer
Clinic Quotes ^ | June 28, 2014 | Sarah Terzo

Posted on 12/07/2014 8:44:16 PM PST by Morgana

A Christian pro-choice activist said the following: This is a picture of what abortion looks like at nine weeks

“More than anything else, being able to choose and being affirmed in that choice gives a woman peace. Knowing that God is with her in the abortion decision and that the church upholds her moral authority to make the decision brings a woman into deeper communion with the One from whom all life springs. It becomes a part of that list of things that cannot separate us from the love of God.”

Bunnie Riebel, Founding Director, Religious Coalition for Abortion Rights, Southern California

Anne Eggebroten, ed Abortion: My Choice, God’s Grace (Pasadena, California: New Paradigm Books, 1994) X I I

The Religious Coalition for Abortion Rights is active in supporting legalized abortion. It is an organization made up of religious leaders and lay people who oppose pro-lifers trying to protect unborn babies.

God says very specifically in black and white in the Torah...

Transliterated from the Hebrew:
“Hachayim v’hamavet natati lefenekha, habrakha v’haklalah; uvkharta vakhayim l’ma-an_tkhiyeh atah vzarekhah.”

Translation to English:
“I’ve put before you life and death, blessing and curse; choose life so you and your offspring would live.” (Deuteronomy 30:15)

Commentary from the rabbis about it.

http://www.shomreitorah.org/choosing-life/

‘Uvkharta vakhayim’ (Choose life!) These are as powerful as any words in the Torah. But what do they mean? What does Moses mean when he says ‘choose life’? How do we choose life? The Torah and Judaism give many answers, in fact, this portion itself, gives a few: to love God, to follow the mitzvot. The portion we just read gives us answers, but I believe that the question, “What’s it mean to choose life” is much bigger than one explanation. And so today on the morning of Yom Kippur, I want to try to answer this question through a very specific lens–through the lens of Yom Kippur: The Day of Atonement. I want to explore what this phrase means, uvkharta vakhayim, to choose life, through the lens of this special day. This day when we forgive and are forgiven.

Wow, the wackadoo pretzel logic to get to that conclusions is utterly staggering and distasteful.

God can use anything He wants to bring an individual closer to him. If the person keeps repeating the behaviour God has convicted them of, that’s when things get dicey because at some point He can tell them “Depart from me, I never knew you.”

no biblical foundation for a Christian supporting abortion. None.

I've found when discussing to “religious” pro-choice individuals, if you ask them if they think Jesus Christ died on the cross so that women can abort babies, it makes them think about it a little differently. There is no way that they can say that Jesus would approve of abortion.

And here I thought the only sin involved was murder. Now it turns out abortion is a two-fer: a free heaping helping of prelest thrown in free when you commit this form of murder!

Without natural affection

“And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Moloch” Leviticus 18:21

“I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother’s belly.” Psalm 22:10

“From birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother’s womb. I will ever praise you.” Psalm 71:6

“For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.” Psalm 139:13-16

“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5

“And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:” Luke 1:41

“As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.” Luke 1:44

Jesus tells us directly that little children do in fact have guardian angels:

“Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven” Matthew 18:10

“It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.” Luke 17:2

“And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.” Revelation 18:21

Their “Pro-choice” “god” being Satan therefore by the transitive property she is stating a statement of truth ONLY TO HER TWISTED MINDSET.

Of course! Because after the abortion, the poor woman spends half her waking hours muttering “Oh God, what have I done?” to herself...

No. Not OK. Never OK. Of all the crimes that strike deepest at the Goodness of the Divine, abortion, the ultimate betrayal of a baby by a mother, is the most hideous.

Interesting response, and well-stated, Jack.

This line from the article caught my eye:

"... the church upholds her moral authority to make the decision"

Nobody has the 'moral authority' to kill an innocent human being. Not the man, not the woman; not the military, not the medical profession; not the Church, and not the State. Not with a bomb, abortion or a baseball bat.

How can anyone imagine that such "authority" even exists?

Isaiah 5:20 21

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! 21Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes And clever in their own sight!
