“... saying he has dedicated himself to becoming a better person in his adult years so he can be a role model to his children and others.”

Then use what you did wrong to teach others. Don’t try to hide it or act like it never happened.

He does seem to have corrected his life.

But what happened, happened. Done deal.

For those of you who are huge movie geeks like I am, Wahlberg has blossomed into an excellent actor. He had no prior experience as an actor, having been in music, and made the transition seamlessly. Other than Ice Cube, I can't think of a musician who has transitioned into films seamlessly like Wahlberg did.

Why is he asking for a pardon? He's served his time. He is a successful actor and a multimillionaire. He's never denied his past. Why does he need a pardon?

Just curious.

And is Wahlberg going to find the man he maimed and make any kind of apology or restitution?

Not a chance. He’s at peace with his past. (the hell with his victim). Thanks for posting about this class A, phony, jerk.

He’s certainly come a long way since Dirk Diggler.

There are different stories out there that Wahlberg is anti-gun.

Maybe he wants to be able to vote or buy/carry a handgun. It also becomes an issue when filing applications for other things.

Marky Mark or what ever he calls himself was a massive racist and that is also what got him arrested, but since he’s now a Hollywood icon I guess all is forgiven off the masses.

He’s the same character in every role he plays: himself.
He often takes time off during filming and a cardboard cutout fills in. And often no one notices.

I know why women like him. I’d avoid any men who admitted liking him.

Especially after knowing that he has made no effort to find the elderly man that he beat and see how he is doing.

I like his acting and he does seem to have turned his life around for the better. But I don’t think he deserves a pardon. Is his victim willing to forgive him as well, I wonder?

No. It’s for a much more noble reason. To get a license open a restaurant. No blacks or Asians allowed, though.

I'd add Will Smith and Sinatra

Do you know that he’s never made an apology or attempted restitution to his victim, or is that supposition? Someone who’s turned his life around rather dramatically, and expended time/energy on charitable projects would more likely than not first have sought out his own victims. Not saying he did, but that is typically what folks seeking redemption do.
