Mary Rathke, who was conceived in rape, speaks out:
Because of the circumstances concerning my conceptionby RAPEI, and all those who will be conceived in the same manner have been marked for death by a great number of people. We are called the demon seed, who are unable to contribute to our society, unable to bring our mothers joy.
Unprotected, sadly, even by some individuals and organizations who refer to themselves as pro-life. How sad that so many who purport to champion the cause of the unborn, consider me an exception. But Im NOT an exception I am a human being .
I am here today, because my motherdespite the fact that she was mentally ill AND raped, on her way home from work one nightdecided my life had value, that no matter how I was conceived, I was valuable and worth protecting. I am far from demon seed. I am a beautiful licensed minister who volunteers to help the homeless, a wife, mother and friend. Yet, like so many minorities in America, I am the target of hate. My people group (those conceived by rape) are not protected by law like many other minority people groups. Instead, every time a law is passed with a rape exception, a clear message is broadcast that my life has no value .
For someone who was conceived in rape-like me, I see this as a prejudice issue. Similar to a hate crime, we are called demon seed. I have received hate mail stating my mother made the wrong choice and should have aborted me. I have friends who, because they were conceived in rape, were spit on .
Can you look me in the eyes and tell me my mother should have had the option of legally aborting me and that my life is not worth fighting for?
Mary Rathke I Was Conceived in Rape But I Didnt Deserve Death in Abortion LifeNews 1/30/14
You asked about about when they were grown? Does this answer that question?
I can’t think of another crime where, after it is committed, the state allows the execution of all the innocent bystanders.
I'm skeptical.
More likely they were spit on for being pro-choice activists, as have many such activists not conceived in rape been.
I raised a child conceived by rape. He was the most joyful love filled child I have ever known. Sadly we lost him to an accident in July. He was 15. I am forever grateful that he never knew how he was conceived.
Life is the gift of God. We can take life, we can participate in giving life, but we can not bring life into a fetus without God’s touch. God is the God of loving kindness, whose tender mercies are new every morning,
Let us praise God and be grateful for the multitude of blessings showered richly upon us, in Jesus name, Amen!
We all are here for a purpose, let us read the SCRIPTURES and learn of God. We thank Thee Father and turn to Thee in truth, and faith, in Jesus name we pray. Amen.
I believe her. Why? Because of how much the left wants to abort babies conceived in rape. The baby is NOT the rapist. The baby is NOT the evil one who did the crime. Yet for some reason the baby takes all the blame and has to take a death sentence? If the baby does not people blame the baby? Or the baby’s mother?
We used to give the death penalty to the rapist but that was before Kinsey.
my life had value, that no matter how I was conceived
Exactly! As do all the lives that are ended by abortion. Every child has the potential to be something for good in the world.
I’m still skeptical. The other side believes or claims to believe that the baby isn’t “really” a baby.
Nobody believes that the adult women mentioned here aren’t really people.
I have little doubt people have been mean to them, but it’s because they put such a crimp in their agenda by their very existence, not because they’re born of rape.
My dear departed father-in-law would only vote for candidates who were anti-abortion. No exceptions!
I once heard Pat Buchannan in a radio interview (I believe w/Sean Hannity) pose the question “How can you say you believe a fetus is a human life with the exception of rape, incest or harm to the mother? Those are babies too!! )Paraphrased.
You sound like a loving woman Granny. Not surprised you’re here on FR posting.
