Formerly the "Fans of Quinn and Rose Discussion" thread, our group been meeting here since 2008. We still hold out hope that our favorite talk show hosts will come back on the air but, whether they do or not, our friendly group will still meet to start the day. So if you are preparing to go to work, are getting home from work - or happily retired - stop in and say mornin' and share the latest news, discuss the weather, share a recipe, or whatever!

Anyone else watching the countdown to the Orion test flight? It’s set for 7:05 but I don’t know if I’ll make it. Very sleepy, LOL.
How are things with mr s?
Morning! I took a couple of days off to bake cookies. Didn’t get anything done on Tuesday and Wednesday. Guess I’ll be doing a lot of catching up today! Mr sneakers was in the hospital for two days. Everything is ok and he wants to go back to work. I’ll be taking off a couple of days next week as well.
Son found out how much the cost of health insurance will be at his new job. $47.00 a pay for just him, but it jumps to $400.00 if he adds wife and baby! That eats up most of his paycheck. He’s looking for another job anyway, but was hoping this would provide health care for his family in the meantime. Coincidentally, this was posted this morning:

Didn’t know about the Orion test flight. What channel? Or can you watch on the internet?
Mr S is doing fine. Doc sent him to hospital on Monday evening because of concerns about tachycardia. When they checked him in and checked again, he was fine. They kept him anyway - for two days, to do tests. He’s good to go for the knee-replacement.
‘Glad to hear the Mr is out and is doing OK. Heart check?
Thanks for the reminder. On a clear morning, I can watch the rocket from about 30 seconds after launch from my back yard.
Of course it looks like the NASA TV feed just went down! Hope it’s back up before the launch.

Glad to hear that Mr S is back to work:) heart issues are scary.
And I’m so sorry to hear about the insursnce FIASCO presenting itself to your son. This is happening to MILLIONS (that’s why Shumer and Harkin have RUN from responsibility of ObamaCare in recent days. My thoughts, PELOSI will be the sacrificial lamb for the Dems...taking heaps of blame and retiring to her vineyards...that have their grapes picked by the “new” special immigrants).
Would the babies qualify for CHIP? That is an awful, stressful situation for them to find themselves in (esp w/baby on the way).

Thank goodness, they got the baby on CHiP. Son will get health care, but DIL will not be covered - and she’s pregnant! I’m glad they are back in Indiana. The local hospital is very good about accepting payments.
Meanwhile, son is looking for another job.
Have you recovered from the weekend? I finally figured out how to get into my twitter account. It looked like a great time!

I saw that DU thread, HILARIOUS! The DUmmies are in chaos.
Launch delayed by winds. Still might go this morning.
The wedding was great...but Bride, then flower girl, then 2 groomsmen, and (Tuesday) Groom ALL came down w/fever, chills, upper chest colds. The newlyweds “ibuprofened up” and are on their honeymoon.
I’m waiting for PaDad and/or I to “get it” (but maybe we will luck out).
The insurance fiasco is going to explode (and prob END liberal/progressivism for a long time). We are FORCED to buy something we cannot use because co-pays (costs) are too high. Yet the DUmmies still defend it, because “OBAMA” or “you’re racist.”
PaDad gets insurance thru work. No PAY raises in the last four years; and ins & co-pays have gone up yearly (esp 4 yrs ago after HA and 4 months on Disability). His hospital bill was huge. His monthly meds co-pays stabilized when we went to 3 month dose refills 2 yrs ago. He (because of heart issues) “uses” the insurance for cardiac and diabetic DRs. The 2 younger boys don’t need checkups and the 2 of them and I only use dental and “walk in clinic”’coverage (colds, stitches). That’s it. Its asinine what we pay monthly to have something I’m afraid I can’t use, and at 17 and 20 the boys are like horses.
I’m watching. Have to leave soon to take Mr S to work. I’m afraid I’m going to miss it!
NASA restarted that count at 8:20 AM for anticipated 8:26 AM launch.
Again at 8:24 AM - the launch was cancelled.
Wind seems to be the culprit.
