I kind of thought that everyone had a TV by now.
So why the need to fight for another one?
Looks like Americans to me.
Most of what is on TV stinks. These idiots fight over getting a TV? Cretins.
I believe everyone who showed during that hour got vouchers. I guess some people were unwilling to wait.
Ironically the One Hour Guarantee Promotion ensured that even if the store ran out of the item, it would be shipped to the customer’s store for them to collect before Christmas.

Amazing. I would have waited until they were gone to get the free delivery.
This is about 9 miles from our home.
I told my husband I would rather stay home, order stuff online, even if I had to pay DOUBLE! Have it delivered to my front door...
in order to avoid Black Friday sales!~ LOL
Too close to home ping
For the first time, I went out on Black Thursday, (Thanksgiving Day) to Walmart. The place was a zoo, lines everywhere to buy certain things inside the store. I talked to some people who were in a line to buy a tablet for 99. Some didn’t even know why they were in line or what the line was for. We went back the next day, Black Friday, and it was much calmer. They had different sales for each day but I couldn’t figure out why the crowds were so much worse on Thursday. Finally, it dawned on me: people were just looking for an excuse to get away from the in-laws.
My trailer doesn’t really have a big enough room for a 50”.
I rarely watch actual TV any more.
I did treat myself to a new TV a month ago. It’s a 49” SONY Bravia. I got it at Wal Mart for 398.99.
I’d have bough a Samsung..they make excellent TVs but they are still doing the “Panel Lottery” ... what this is is they use their own LCD panels until they run out of stock...then they use 3rd party suppliers for panels and some of them make real stinkers! They send out their TVs for review using their own panels only so the review can’t be trusted :-(
SONY quit doing the panel lottery a couple years ago and so you can depend on the reviews to have been made with the same LCD panel you will get when you buy. I believe that SONY uses real Samsung panels for their TVs up to and including 49”.
I use the TV as my computer monitor and to watch movies.
Surprised at this, I was @ Target Thursday night and everybody was sprinting right past the cheap tv deals.
Electronics dept guy told me it was all about the high end iPads (which came with a big $$ gift card).
Those Black Friday mob scenes are a very mild foretaste of the total breakdown of civility if a true national disaster ever happens. Blood will run in the streets. If you wait to go shopping after disaster strikes, you are too late.
I went in at 5:00 for the 6:00 pm deal on the TV at our local WallyWorld...got to talking dragracing cars with the guy ahead of me so the time went by pretty fast. The line started moving at 6 and I was in the checkout lane at 6:09 had the tv loaded up by 6:15 and was on the highway home by 6:20. Not a bad deal :)
The funny consideration is,.....will they be able to hook it up with DISH Net? I have my doubts.
This is directed to all of us. Call me Scrooge but I think Americans would be better served to tell the merchants to stuff their Christmas (that can’t be called “Christmas”) hype and greed where the sun doesn’t shine..
We’d all be better off doing something kind and helpful for others, than wasting our money buying Chinese stuff that we usually don’t need just to impress others that could care less.. Most of what we spend ends up as debt to China and less for our retirement. I hate to see Americans led around by propaganda and advertising.
