Earlier today the United States House of Representatives filed suit against the Secretaries of the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Treasury, challenging the Administrations implementation of the Affordable Care Act.
In a press release, Speaker John Boehner announced:
Time after time, the president has chosen to ignore the will of the American people and re-write federal law on his own without a vote of Congress. Thats not the way our system of government was designed to work. If this president can get away with making his own laws, future presidents will have the ability to as well. The House has an obligation to stand up for the Constitution, and that is exactly why we are pursuing this course of action.
The suit alleges that the Administration unilaterally delayed the employer mandate contrary to the ACA, and improperly provided nearly $4 billion in public funds to insurance companies without an appropriation from Congress.
Lead counsel for the House, Jonathan Turley, has supported the law, but has become increasingly skeptical of the use of executive powers to circumvent Congress:

Sham Wow !!!!!!
About time
fyi
Oh puleeze! WTH took them so long then? Emperor Obozo has been making illegal amendments to Obamacare for years so why sue him now instead of long ago? What Bonehead should. Be doing right now is taking action to stop the unlawful amnesty that the Kenyan Emperor just granted illegal aliens.
I hasten to remind everyone that Obama ( like FDR before him ), has had the chance to stack the courts with his type of judges for the past 6 years.
Not trying to be a wise guy but I don’t think this will be good enough or better than defunding “everything Obama.” Lawsuits take a very long time and can give the appearance of doing “something”. I don’t trust weasel Boehner. It also puts the courts in the decision making position. The problem there is that they have also over-reached their power as has the executive branch. Hit them in the pocketbook and let the screams begin!
It is all window dressing on a pig.
Those Gruber statements sure do ring true.
The only reason to take things to the Judiciary is Kabuki theater.
Yes it is. I think it is time to ask the GAO or whoever pays both Obama and his family’s travel, entertainment, and misc. expenses to report the exact amount. We damn sure have never had anyone like this AA Pres and, we deserve to know how much he is spending over past Presidents and their families.
The Reps have already said they are replacing/getting rid of Obozzo care.
This is pretty strong against his admin and him.
“”The Congress makes the law and controls funding!!””
Read earlier today that the Citizenship and Immigration Services (under Homeland Security) relies on its funding from application fees so guess defunding that agency is out of the question UNLESS the whole cotton pickin’ department gets defunded which wouldn’t be a bad idea. What good are they?
