The Daily Shows Jon Stewart is mocking Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindals position on amnesty and the threat of a government shutdown.
On Monday nights show, Stewart took aim at several Republicans who he says are being disingenuous in criticizing President Barack Obamas potential use of executive action on immigration. He dismissed Jindals talking points on Meet The Press this weekend as weird magic.
Its like watching a non-Jedi try a Jedi mind-trick, Stewart said of Jindals insistence that a shutdown would be Obamas fault.
No, we shouldnt shut down the government, but absolutely Republicans should do everything they can to force the president to follow the law, Jindal said. No, the president shouldnt shut down the government so that he can break the law.

"Gov. Jindal: 'I Don't Think the President Should Shut Down the Government'" Todd interrupted: "You think that the president would be shutting down the government?"
"Oh, absolutely--" Jindal said.
"And so, you do want Republicans to fight him on this, to the point that it could shut down the government," Todd interrupted.
"I don't think the president should shut down the government," Jindal repeated.
"You're twisting my question," Todd complained. "That means you want that kind of showdown."

All Republicans should control the conversation as Jindal did.
Im shocked that Obama’s under the desk court jester found this the thing he needs to go after. /sssssssss
They can’t have a Republican running around telling it like it is.
Jindal is absolutely right. Any shutdown scenario involves Congress passing legislation that would fund all of the government except Obamacare and amnesty. The Republicans would vote to keep the government running. Obama would veto legislation which would, but for his veto, keep the government running. Obams, by his veto, and not the Republicans, who voted for legislation that would keep the government running, would be the one shutting down the government.
You have to be an absolute suck up shill for Obama and the democrats to characterize this scenario as being anything other than Obama shutting down the government. Which, of course, all the lamestream media are.
John Stewart is a pathetic buffoon.
Obviously Jindall hit a grand slam to get the attention of Urkel’s jockstrap
Thanks for posting this. How could I get through the day without knowing Jon Leibowitz’s opinion about Bobby Jindal? /sarc
If Liebowitz is getting his panties in a knot, then you KNOW Jindal was doing something right.
Exactly. Anytime the media mischaracterizes something in a question they ask a Republican, the Republican should turn it around and state it correctly.

Amen. I’m seeing more and more friends in their mid-20’s that are seeing him and similar shows as the clowns they are.
Watch “This Week” with Jon Oliver instead. That show is much better written and gives some sense of balance. The Daily Show does nothing but bash Republicans and Fox News.
