Islamic State Group Says It Will Mint Its Own Coins

CAIRO (AP) — The leader of the Islamic State group has ordered the terror organization to start minting gold, silver and copper coins for its own currency — the Islamic dinar.
A website affiliated with the group posted the order late Thursday, saying IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi instructed his followers to mint the coins to "change the tyrannical monetary system" modelled on Western economies that "enslaved Muslims."

The terrorists say, ‘We need to mint coins... Only, well, we don't have the metals to do so, we don't have the minting presses, and ... OH! We've got designs!
Now if only we didn't have to go to godless countries to get things minted....’
Why do I have the feeling that already mints in Canada and Northern Europe are out there trying to find out who exactly wants to get things minted, while their government lackies put together a ‘loan’ package to mint the coins for free?

If they are minting these coins for circulation, good luck. They can procure all the gold and silver they want and then watch it bleed out of circulation by hoarders. Its a Gresham’s Law thing.

If al-Baghdadi was killed by the airstrike, then they should issue a 100 Dinar note where on the reverse there is al-Baghdadi in a Robert Palmer like pose, singing, and the 72 virgins behind him.

Also, how will this affect goats, camels, and slaves as a medium of exchange in the Middle East and the rest of the World. I’ve heard a fine camel is worth it’s weight in gold and silver.
