My shelter cat Andy came leaping onto the bed in the middle of the night
he was so agitated, I got up and looked out he window
saw a man trying to break into my car.

they make great alarm clocks
Yes, and my furry alarm clock is set at 5 a.m.! There is no instruction manual for this type of clock.

Is a cat going to jump into cold water an retrieve a duck for me?
Then I don't want one.

With all that cats do for us studies show they lower blood pressure I had one that did - usually by draining a pint of blood from me when she and I disagreed about what she should do.

I am horrendously allergic to cats. When the girls were little, one of them asked if we could get a kitty.
"No, honey, momma can't live in the same house as a cat because it makes me sneeze."
Her reply? "We promise to visit you every day, Mom!"

We have two rescue cats. It is truly heartwarming to drive up to our house and see a cat in the window waiting for me. I am just naturally a bit melancholy, and I have lost parents and two siblings. Even though I have so much to be grateful for— a husband and beautiful children, for example, the additional blessing of having warm furry friends to greet me when I get home is a big comfort. I know our whole family is happier with them around.

I live in a wood framed, wall to wall carpeted apt, with a $500 fee for owning a pet.
The first time a cat demonstrates, “Mine!” (and you KNOW what I mean), would be the last time, since the ‘aroma’ will never get out of the wood.
I like cats - owned a couple, including a seal point Siamese, along with my three Dobermans.
Now, can’t do it.
