Lucas killed the franchise with his ridiculous Episode 1, 2, 3, and the rereleased 4, 5, and 6. HAN SHOT FIRST!!! I have a feeling I will not be seeing the afterbirth.
To: C19fan
We’ll watch it for sure...but it won’t come anywhere near the original trilogy.

What a wimpy working title!
How about...
“The Force Rises Up In Our Midst With Great Distinction and Huge Unbridled Power.”
To: C19fan
The Force is dead to me so long as Lucas continues to exclude Lawrence Kasdan from writing the project. Star Wars 1,2 and 3 were atrociously written without him.

Call me a nerd, but I hope it’s good and in the faithful tradition of the original story.
The risk, obviously, is that a bad movie in the sequence could forever tarnish the name brand. And I like the movies.

Reach out with your feelings.

“The Force Awakens” would also have been a good title for last Tuesday’s elections.

If I
ever see this as the title card, I'm outta here.

I truly hope JJ is fracking with us - because otherwise I see the title as just another middle finger from George Lucas to the fans.
That said - I would have preferred something along the lines of:
“Star Wars Episode VII - Democracies Always Commit Suicide
or
“Liberty threatened
again”.

They should have stopped with the original Star Wars of 1977. None of the sequels were as good as the original. I only saw the first of the antecedents that came out in the 1990's, and it was so bad that I haven't seen any of the others.

Or: “Star Wars Episode VII: The Rise Of Putin - The Old Soviet Empire Never Really Died”

I won’t object too much to Jar Jar’s love interest, but I will draw the lines at nude scenes, no matter how tastefully shot.

JJ Abrams?
So will C3PO be dating Chewbacca?
To: C19fan
DO NOT LIKE.
But there hasn’t been a good Star Wars movie since 1980. Empire is my favorite film of all time...and it’s all been downhill from there.
