We have an LG set, front loaders for 18 months and no problems. The capacity is enormous and they are so efficient, they use less water and less electricity.

Even a comforter for a king size bed is no problem.

The model is WM8000 series. We got the storage pedestals to gain storage and to raise up the machines to a comfortable level.

They are slightly wider(and higher with the pedestals) than a normal set so check the dimensions of your space to see that the two machines can fit.
That was not an issue for us.

Good luck.

Wow, that WM8000 is a BBAWM* (*Big Butt American Washing Machine) and I am in envy.

We live in Germany, the land of small butt appliances. Recently we opted for an LG direct drive washing machine to replace our 15 year old Wal Mart (bought when WM was in Germany) no name that served us well.

I am very impressed with the LG as it is extremely quiet and does a great job. I especially like the ability to stop the run and open the door if something was left out or a problem arises.

But I would really like to have a monster like yours if for nothing else to show the neighbors what a real machine looks like!

When I was out of state during an extended hospital stay in 2013, I knew with low immunity that I would need a new washer and dryer. The kids got the LQ (8000 Series)
steam front loaders for us, with the pedestal bases and some kind of rubber under-mats. Mine are in the garage.

I can’t emphasize enough how much I love these machines! In addition to all the various wash cycles, I can use the Steam Fresh cycle for many useful things, only takes a short time and does wonders for clothes that are clean but wrinkled or have been in in the closet for awhile, refreshing pillows that don’t need washing yet, all kinds of things. The wash cycles are great, and the clothes get clean (I use Charlie’s Soap and vinegar for a rinse agent).
