Wow, that WM8000 is a BBAWM* (*Big Butt American Washing Machine) and I am in envy.

We live in Germany, the land of small butt appliances. Recently we opted for an LG direct drive washing machine to replace our 15 year old Wal Mart (bought when WM was in Germany) no name that served us well.

I am very impressed with the LG as it is extremely quiet and does a great job. I especially like the ability to stop the run and open the door if something was left out or a problem arises.

But I would really like to have a monster like yours if for nothing else to show the neighbors what a real machine looks like!

Yes, it appears to be one step below a commercial grade washer/dryer. Capacity is like three top loads.

We keep the door of the washer open after a wash to let it dry out and wipe the seals down every so often. Same with the dryer.

So far, no smells, mold or mildew.
