Is it just me, or is there liberal rot taking place. When I used to teach my Intro to Econ course, I would tell my students to close their eyes and listen to the TV ads. Doing so creates a totally different impression from the ad. Today, both local and national TV ads have drawn from the Liberal playbook to sell products. So many of them now feature that one word: "deserve". You "deserve" better cable service. You "deserve" a high-end luxury car. You "deserve" legal service if you spilled hot coffee on yourself.
Bull crap. Sorry, Bozo, you don't "deserve" anything. The Constitution says you have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It does NOT guarantee it, nor does it say you deserve it.
If you want something, go out and earn it. Nobody owes you anything and you "deserve" even less. The liberals have sold you on the fact that you deserve something. So drop the idea you're a victim and thus deserve something. Go out and earn what you want out of life. Many then you'll deserve someone's respect.
Senators and Representatives deserve to be tried for their treasons, yes, multiple.
Many of the agencies of the federal government deserve to be abolished (DOE, other DOE, USDA, etc.), and the agents thereof tried for their crimes trampling the Constitution (TSA, BATFE, NSA, etc).
Those involved in the bailouts (AIG et al) deserve to be prosecuted.
Yes, if these people got what they deserve things would get better.
When I was young I was told several times I deserved spankings
Things seem to be better now
Great point. I’ve used the same argument and was called “an elitist”. I had to LOL at that. Me, Mr elitist! Ha!
“Entitled”
That “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” phrase is in the Declaration of Independence, not the Constitution.
Add to that the word “fight” that liberal politicians love to use in campaign ads. They are always going to fight for those things that they say we “deserve”. Funny how that “fight” for liberals always means voting in lockstep with others who advocate big government despite how it might hurt their constituents. They promise for example to fight for good jobs yet will vote for job killing government programs like Obamacare or against projects like the Keystone pipeline that will create thousands of jobs.
listen to all the ads aimed at women, so many ads tell them they deserve this, the deserve the best, bla bla...
explains a lot.
Deserve: de-serve. Therein lies the problem.
These commercials are directed at those who have the means to gain access to what they “deserve”. Those who deserve EBT cards have access to McDonalds.
Deserve. I thought it was Liberal.
My bad...
