Children Are People, Too
The Federalist ^ | October 15, 2014 | Vanessa Rasanen

I have three children. Each prayed for, desired, loved, cherished. For years, I have watched pro-abortion friends and family dote on them and shower them with love. They treat my children as precious and special, as valuable members of society—but only because I wanted them. Had I desired an abortion, these same people who rave about my son’s wit or marvel at my daughters’ smiles would have been the first to drop everything and drive me to the nearest Planned Parenthood to have them “taken care of.” My children’s worth, in the eyes of the pro-abortion community and of our fecundophobic society, only exists because I wanted them to exist.

Children Have Intrinsic Value We need to stop seeing children as a hobby, a checkbox on our bucket list, or a material good whose value fluctuates with market demand, just as a car is worth only as much as someone is willing to pay for it. It’s time to stop seeing them as just another cog in the microeconomic wheel. Children—now stripped of their natural value—are worth only as much as the parents’ desire for them, assuming the father has a say in the decision at all. The wanted child, the planned child, is precious and worthy. The unwanted child is a burden, a mistake, a blemish. It is a nonentity and therefore easily discarded.

I'm not religious, but I find abortion ABSOLUTELY ABHORRENT AND WRONG. Furthermore, I find late-term abortions to be ABSOLUTELY SATANIC. I think, at the very least, a woman or couple who choose to have an abortion is not taking personal responsibility for their actions. Personal responsibility is a tenet of conservatism, and rightfully so. Plus, there's no constitutional right to an abortion. States SHOULD be able to limit it as they see fit (with obvious exceptions for life of the mother.) Liberals are completely FOS because they believe that abortion is a constitutional right. Furthermore, they believe the "right" to have an abortion is so sacrosanct that is should be unlimited. Liberals derive from Satan.

Furthermore, I completely concur with the article posted on this forum the other day that said that you need not be religious to be pro-life./rwa

If you think late-term abortion is “absolutely satanic”, you may be a little more “religious” than you think. Plus, you’re correct - it is pure evil.

Well, you are more repulsed than the average person.

Remember, almost every society prior to Christianity, practiced abortion, and infanticide. Many children where simply exposed to the elements to eliminate them.

Romulus and Remus where discarded twins who only through the miraculous intercession of gods where saved to be raised by a she wolf and then build Rome. Romes entire mythology is based on a very normal occurrence in antiquity, infanticide.

We have spent 2,000 years eliminating barbarism from Humanity and the Barbarians have spent eons keeping it. The Barbarians are once again winning.

The remarkable thing about the Christians to most Romans and others was the fact that they didn't practice infanticide, abortion, homosexuality and sexual molestation of their slaves. They where looked upon as odd. One look at the comment section of Huffington Post and it is safe to say that we are once again the odd men out.

“For years, I have watched pro-abortion friends and family dote on them and shower them with love.”

That’s creepy.

“You have brought these perfect Aryan children into the world, free of defects or disabilities! The Fuhrer is pleased with your Nordic offspring. You are a worthy German mother.”

You are right, but please remember that it is the JEWS who differed from the Romans in the things they didn’t practice. Christianity followed the tenets of Abrahamic faith.
