Tail wagging. Obvious sign of aggression.

And I'm sure there is more to the story---the magical-costumed one didn't want any more incriminating evidence against him.

Officer coaxes tail-wagging dogs up to him and......

You guessed it.

Sad story.

Here’s a solution: give him to the Ferguson crowd. They want blood, let them have his.

Although the video shows that the animals were not being aggressive when the officer fired, Cleburne police have said the officer was responding to a 911 call for assistance after several dogs cornered residents in a vehicle.

...

Just pointing out what so many people will ignore.

I get outraged by cops shooting dogs, but my experience with my town’s police is completely different.

Last week, my hound escaped the backyard and took off. The police found the dog, took him to a safe place, and called me.

A few years ago, an old beagle of mine wandered away. The officer put him in the front seat of the car and drove him home to me.

Sometimes, police do good things.

And I’m sure there is more to the story...

...

As your article states, there is more to the story, and a formal investigation, but that’s not going to stop some people from using the incident to agitate people against the police before the investigation is complete.

This is sick, murderous behavior. The cop should be fired & never wear a badge again. Besides killing a family pet, the cop is also maliciously destroying a citizen’s property.

Cornered in a car by dogs? Start your engine and drive away. When the dogs leave come back and get out of your car. Why call 911?

I hope he gets canned and stripped of his pension. Enough of cops getting their jollies by plugging dogs. Who are usually treasured pets. The sociopath cop just sees he can get a good giggle by firing away.

My 4 dogs always corner the UPS guy and FedEx gal. They demand their treats or will continue licking.

But the moral of this tale is that the police officer went home safely to his family. Nothing else matters. No sarcasm implied, new LEO method of operation: shoot and kill ANYTHING that may threaten your authority.

It’s jerkoffs like this that will get more decent police officers hunted down and killed. My suggestion to honest, law abiding police officers is to start policing your own, and weed out the sadistic psychopaths in the departments hiding behind a badge. Their behavior will get you killed.

Note the article says there were 3 dogs involved. Maybe not a loose family pet situation. Anyway dogs tend to run in packs and attack people from time to time.

Article does not mention if animals were tagged and had their rabies shots. If they didn’t have collars and tags, then they most likely were feral dogs.

Article wants to make LEO look bad in this situation. Doesn’t cover the other side of the story and omits other facts. Please wait until all the facts are in until making any judgements.

BTW, down here in Texas we don’t pet rabid animals, we shoot them. There is not much you can do with a rabid animal, except shoot it.

Dogs, law abiding gun owners & conservatives.

No wonder the police need military gear for everything.

Must have been an oversight that this one had to face Cujo without body armor and an M16.

I didn't see any tail wagging, I saw two pit bulls in a culvert doing whatever and the cop taking aim from above and shooting.......

Just curious, what were the dogs doing on the loose like that, hunting pheasant?

Nobody should be shootin' anyone's huntin' dogs less they be runnin' deer........
