I've found another Martha Hyer(who passed away earlier this year) picture to honor her memory with. In this film she plays a spoiled rich redhead girl who is superstitious singer Doris Day's rival for the affections of songwriter Robert Cummings. Phil Silvers, Eddie Foy Jr. and Nancy Walker(Rhoda's mom) provide the comedy relief in this light musical. Also, Angie Dickinson makes her screen debut in a "blink and miss it" appearance at 1:23:11-13 while Dr. and Mrs. Bellows from "I Dream Of Jeannie" appear as well. The battle of the sexes number with Doris and Phil is a hoot.

Phil Silvers, one of my all time favorites! As far as I am concerned ‘You’ll Never Get Rich’, (later known as ‘The Phil Silvers’ Show’ or just, ‘Phil Silvers Show’, I do not remember which), with Phil as Sgt. Bilko was the most underrated 1/2 Situation Comedy show ever put on television. The capers him and his men got into were flat out hilarious! Any other oldster FReeper Bilko fans out there? Anyone know if it is ever on repeats anywhere now?

Try the internet. Many old tv shows can be found on YouTube. Hook your laptop up to your digital tv with an HDMI cable, and you’re ready to go.
