I was most interested in the way they worked with the performance space. Seems the French have a knack for that; witness just about every concert by Jarre.

Have to admit I’ve never seen anything like that - my saxophone preferences run from Coltrane to Shorter, Stan Getz, Sonny Rollins. Used to have a bumper sticker on my 49 Chevy that said “Live Music is Best”. It came with the truck.
