I didnt know that Christopher Plummer was a jerk.
Christopher Plummer apparently changed his mind later because he DID reunite again with the cast in Oct. 2010 at the Oprah Winfrey show.

Prove it. Give back all the “dirty money” they paid you. Otherwise, shut up.

I kind of think Plummer expected to be the star, when Andrews and all of the kids got the attention.

The Sound of Mucus Well, that is kind of funny, in a snotty sort of way.
I never did understand all those big, overblown, improbable musicals. Taken in small segments I can see the skill and the beauty, but taken as a whole they were just too canned.
Must have been a generational thing with the popularity of musicals being primarily due to moviegoers raised in a pre-tv era. I'm either the very first of Gen X or the very last of the Boomers depending upon whose definition you use.
The whole thing just made no sense to me, like a sitcom gone on way too long morphing into Lawrence Welk periodically, without explanation and without warning.
I was not alone, apparently.

Cusack, much like other actors, seems to always play himself in the movies.
...
That’s better than overacting. I think Jack Nicholson said it’s best to let the costume do the acting.

I think Cusack hates it because it’s not his standard too smart for everyone but him and his crowd type of movie. I bet it’s one of the movies people who meet him remember him the most for which really gets him.

Katherine Heigl always complaining about
She complained and complained until she got off of Grey's Anatomy. As her movie career waned, she complained to get back on Grey's Anatomy.
[I don't know whether she ever returned, as I quit watching GA years ago.]

Really? Or is it just that she puts down the crummy pictures she's in? That's actually a little inspiring.

Cusack, much like other actors, seems to always play himself in the movies.
To me, an actor is one who can make the viewer believe any part he/she plays. All of the others are just personalities who play themselves over and over.
Really good actors do not always get the accolades until after they expire.

John Cusack’s ‘Better Off Dead’ was absolutely hilarious. The dancing hamburger to Van Halen’s ‘Everybody Wants Some’ was genius!
