4. No Leaching or Addition of Parent or Daughter Isotopes;

This one is perhaps the most damning (invalidating) considering the environment is an open system.

Not into the tube type, I take it?

BTW, how old was Adam when he was created from dust?

Just wondering...

Just be careful your radio isn't tuned into the past...

Not what I’d expected from the title!

The article addresses each of these objections. Polystrate fossils is one of many fossil misconceptions covered in Common Creationist Attacks on Geology.

I also liked "adult contemporary" when I was in fifth or sixth grade.

I used to listen to the Mutual Broadcasting System in Syracuse NY. I filled several 7-inch tape reels with their programming, recorded off the air by means of a microphone positioned in front of the radio speaker. The tapes and recorder are long lost, but I remember hearing Jack Jones - probably singing Wives and Lovers, and Spanish Harlem - here it is - performed by Ben. E. King.

Strange to say, one of the main things that attracted me to the Mutual Broadcasting System was the funny little two-tone "bleep" signals that they broadcast at the end of their news coverage. I believe those were used to control equipment at their affiliates, probably related to playing local commercials. I have (since I was a tiny child) been fascinated with whatever I thought was an indicator of things "going on under the surface" of the world. That's why those little tones attracted my attention. I thought the music was nice too.

Only in your dreams.

In all reality.

God created.

Evolution != creation.

Learn it.
Know it.
Live it.

I’d say you are so convinced by your own positions that you didn’t feel even a cursory glance at either article was needed.

I looked at the article, it had so much typical atheist logical fallacy I almost fell out of my chair laughing.

sounds feasible:

Pope Pius XII, a deeply conservative man, directly addressed the issue of evolution in a 1950 encyclical, Humani Generis. The document makes plain the pope’s fervent hope that evolution will prove to be a passing scientific fad, and it attacks those persons who “imprudently and indiscreetly hold that evolution …explains the origin of all things.” Nonetheless, Pius XII states that nothing in Catholic doctrine is contradicted by a theory that suggests one specie might evolve into another—even if that specie is man. The Pope declared:

The Teaching Authority of the Church does not forbid that, in conformity with the present state of human sciences and sacred theology, research and discussions, on the part of men experiences in both fields, take place with regard to the doctrine of evolution, in as far as it inquires into the origin of the human body as coming from pre-existent and living matter—for the Catholic faith obliges us to hold that souls are immediately created by God.

> “You could have stopped right there.”

What is that supposed to mean? It means you don’t believe right?

But you have no proof and you will never have proof one way or the other.

So your comment is worthless tripe.

Belief? What has that to do with proof? Didn’t Christ say, “Blessed are those who believe without seeing.”? Forcing science to fit a religious model is ridiculous. Forcing a religion to fit a scientific model is equally so. Far from tripe, my comment was pointing out that in your religious fervor, you are avoiding natural conclusions of scientific pursuit. If you don’t like the science game, leave. Don’t try to change its rules.

Hey forum heckler, I am a scientist with a PhD from a department ranked among the top 3 in the world; having attended and lectured among a plehora of Nobel Laureates here in Seattle, my “religious fervor” is none of your goddam business.

You don’t want to take me on; it won’t be pretty for you. Now go party with your faggy friends celebrating the great SCOTUS retreat today.
