Report: US military examining relationship with NFL
CBS Sports ^ | September 19, 2014 | Will Brinson

Posted on 09/19/2014 6:46:07 PM PDT by ConservativeStatement

The blowback against the NFL over the recent domestic violence incidents -- a pattern, if you will -- is growing and growing rather quickly. CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora reported on a new sponsorship problem and the White House issued a stern edict to the NFL Friday morning about getting "a handle on" the problem.

Enter another branch of government: the military. According to CNN, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel is asking his staff for "detailed information about the US military's relationships" with the NFL.

The left leaning groups in country are mad that Michael Sam is not on the active roster and starting.

I think you’re right. I was trying to figure out what the real driver behind this non-issue was and that one makes perfect sense (in a Progressive dominated nation).

Chuck Hagel, who is wanting to open the armed services to trannies? The NFL, which has been obsessively pushing the homo agenda with Michael Sam?

To hell with both Hagel and the NFL.

I am reminded of Rush Limbaugh’s sponsors who withdrew their advertising.

When they wanted to come back, he would not even talk to them.

I am no pro sports fan. Never ever watch.

But common sense tells me that the NFL is bigger than Washington and those who would knife the NFL in the back will more than likely live to regret it.

It would be much smarter to give the NFL time to work out their problem.

Funny, isn’t it, that the very politicians who will run thieves, presidents who have interns under their desk, tax cheats (Charlie Rangel among many others), a president who is a total stranger to truthfulness, suddenly is so serious about ethics and morality.

Such sudden reformation is a miracle to behold.

I agree. This is an orchestrated war against women takedown by the left. Probably because the NFL refused to be politically correct on the homo issue.

I guess there’s no more money in shaking down MLB so they’re going after the NFL. That’s all anything is ever to the left. A way to extort power and money.

Democrats view spousal abuse as an opportunity to profit. It’s why they ignore Clinton and his sexual aggressiveness yet call it rape when a regular guy does it.

The Army has more problems than any relationship with the NFL.

THeir Secy of the Army Chuck Hagel is a coward and a fool.
Many of their best field commanders have been sacked or demoted. Really helps combat efficiency!

If deployed to Iraq, the may not be able to attack the enemy.

Political correctness is killing morale, as is the chucking of experienced sergeants and other middle-ranking officers.

And they have old Hanoi Helper John Kerry as Secy of Defense. That’s enough to make anyone puke and be afraid.

A husband who beats his wife PROBABLY learned it from HIS father.
The wife who TAKES the beating PROBABLY learned it from HER mother.

They BOTH need shrinks to find out why they do the things they do. Maybe then they WON'T pass on the behaviors to their children. The cycle CAN stop.

This has absolutely nothing to do with domestic violence. This is all about funneling all recruiting dollars to Nazi ‘RATS and Commie lib groups. They’ve already pulled those dollars out of NASCAR.

I am so tired of this crap. Some people get their information from Talk Radio, and it is letting them down. Right now, the world is going to hell in a hurry. Congress just voted to use our tax money to arm our mortal enemies. We could all die of Ebola because of our wide-open borders, and the people who sent it to us would gloat about it. And most of Talk Radio is preoccupied with doing high-tech lynchings of football players. A story that got old more than a week ago.
And you wonder why Alex Jones has become so popular lately. At least he doesn’t waste his listeners’ time with pop-culture bull$#!+.

HEY!! You just reminded me of "Hanoi" Jane Fonda. :o(

OOoooo, I just saw a photo of her. Her 75 years have been DE-WRINKLED by some outstanding cosmetic surgeons. And, she is VERY blonde now. :o(
She is still a TRAITOR!!

Kerry, Hagel. Both Vietnam vets. One later worked for the Hanoi Lobby. They other just got a degree in stupidity.
Both bad for America.

Kerry, Secretary of whose State? ISIS/ISIL; North Vietnam? State of insanity?

All of the above?

Agreed, the problem with football is that starting positions are based strictly on performance, and these club spend tons of money building these teams lineups and designing schemes to earn wins.
Winning is what matters most.
To the left, winning doesn’t matter at all in comparison to who gets to play the game. Which is why these networks are starting to go out of their way to emphasize things such as gender, sexuality, awareness, or heritage celebration.
After listening to RG today, it sounds like activism is now controlling the game, and will be encouraged to dine on the new host no matter what the cost.
Disgusting

Tired: Corrections:

Hagel is Secy of Defense (God help us) while Kerry is Secy of State (another God help us).

I need sleep, badly. Trying to save the world is hard work and I haven’t had dinner yet.
