I send a WOOT! To the whole Robertson family! I do watch their show and I enjoy it. I enjoy the 19 Kids and Counting as well. I am a woman who never was able to have children, so God bless them all.
Have I thought about killing my child because someone told me my child wasn’t perfect? Ummmmmm ... No.
My nephew was born with a cleft lip/palate ... and was trying like heck to be born way early. My sister made it almost to 9 months after being admitted into the hospital for the last two months of her pregnancy. My nephew is now a senior in high school and is a smart, wonderful young man. His lip/palate were corrected when he was an infant and he looks/acts just like any normal 17 year old.
To abort over a condition like this is just plain stupid and heartless. Kudos to the Robertson family.
In this day and age cleft palates are one of the easiest birth defects to deal with. Actually, they has been for decades. That anyone would consider aborting a child over something so easily repaired is astonishing to me.
BTW, one of my favorite charities is Smile Train, an organization that fixes cleft palates of children around the world. They do an amazing work.
Who on earth would even consider aborting a baby because of a cleft lip?
I have an uncle who was born with cleft palate. He has led a very rich and productive life. And he had surgery in the 1950’s.
They are far better at fixing this today. You can barely tell.
But, he's glad to be alive. God bless the Robertsons.

No matter, either way, the Robertson’s have demonstrated numerous times they walk the talk...God Bless them.

I love Missy Robertson. Her and Jase are my favorites on the show. She and Sarah Palin are my two crushes to offset my wife’s crush on the Rock. I think I have better taste.
