Just to add to the toilet humor, just finding an ancient wooden toilet seat probably makes an archeologist pause and think “we’re going to find some good $h!t here”.

Reminds me of te most common graffitti found in archaeological digs around Roman toilets. The phrase “Stercus sachidet”. Literally, “shit happens”.

I won’t believe it until they find the plastic chain thingy that gets hung up when you flush so that you have to come back five minutes later and jiggle the handle.
So, what exactly are they digging in? I mean, it’s a toilet, right? You gotta really love your job to do that. (Somewhere in there is a pony.)
