LITTLETON, Colo. - A longtime Littleton Public Schools teacher was arrested Friday, accused of sexual assault on a child by one in a a position of trust.
Joel H. Fischer, a 45-year-old physical education teacher at Euclid Middle School since 2004, was booked at the Arapahoe County Detention Facility on a $200,000 bond.

When I was in high school a few of the gossips suspected that a particular girl was overly friendly with one of the teachers. He had to be in his 40s, and not a youthful 40 something either. A few months after graduation they got married. Score one for the gossips.
Your story is very, uh, nice...but this thread is about a 14 year old. How many 14 year-old girls want to marry a 40 year old (and not a youthful 40)?

True. Any accusal ends his future. Period. Guilty or not. He’s ruined. I know of a teacher who was accused and everyone knew the little twit was lying but the cops hounded him to no end. The court wanted to make him an example but knew there wasn’t any evidence so delayed, delayed, delayed his hearing just to create a living hell for him and his family. He put an end to it and his life one afternoon. A few days later, his accuser put it out on social network nothing had ever happened.

Nobody wants to hear that. Panic is so much more fun. That’s why evil people like Janet Reno (& it’s bipartisan) never paid a price for the dozens of lives they ruined. Most Americans are blissfully unaware how often these charges are bogus. Or, they just don’t care.
I don’t know that my story was “nice” as much as it was unusual, but it did involve a twist on a relationship between a teacher and a student which is why I brought it up. The girl in this case would have been 17 and the teacher in his 40s.
Is there a drug test for that? How about a brain scan using the mind meld machine?
