Border Patrol agent claims armed illegal immigrants in military fatigues... on Texas ranches
Daily Mail ^ | 08/08/2014 | Will Payne

Posted on 08/08/2014 2:19:16 PM PDT by Rusty0604

Sheriff Larry Spence of Willacy County spoke to MailOnline after murder of off-duty Border Patrol Agent Javier Vega Jr. who was allegedly gunned down by two illegal immigrants who had been deported six times Sheriff Spence said ranchers had reported illegal immigrants walking through the brush in single file, armed with rifles in military fatigues

Spence said he used to not show a weapon but now he has 'two or maybe three' because of the increasing 'criminal element'

He added: 'It’s not like it was years ago when people were just looking for a job or something to eat' MailOnline also spoke to the woman who reported Javier's alleged killers to the police. She now fears she could be killed by the cartels

Speaking to MailOnline from his office in Raymondville, Sheriff Spence said that while the current political focus at the border had been on the humanitarian crisis posed by tens of thousands of undocumented children arriving alone in the US, an increasing 'criminal element' was being ignored.

He said: 'We are not use to this kind of violence happening in our town. We may have a murder every two or three years, but that would be a bar fight, or a domestic incident, nothing like this.

'But this is becoming much more prevalent. Lately we’ve been having a lot of traffic through the ranches. Smuggling, illegal immigrants, drugs.

'About three or four months ago we had an individual who saw people walking through farm property in military fatigues, with backpacks.

'He went out and asked them, "who are you", they said "what's it to you", he said he owned the property and they said, "well you better get out of here". Sensibly he left and called us, but by the time we got out there, they were gone.

Without a serious fence system for the Border Patrol to actually watch and guard, the BP is forced to “defend in depth.” The southern border is 2,019 miles from sea to sea. If the Border Patrol check points are 40 miles from the border, agents must roam across an area of 80,000 square miles seeking illegal immigrants. This is a fool’s errand, deliberately futile. 80,000 square miles is the size of Idaho or Kansas.

The same number of border patrol agents actually guarding a physical barrier means that every inch of the border is under observation at all times. For example, anybody carrying a ladder to the fence will be seen, and stopped by nearby Border Patrol agents who react to their approach. That is why the San Diego fence is so effective. It needs to be extended across the entire border. Or, we can keep play-acting at border security, with the Border Patrol playing Keystone Kops across 80,000 square miles of rough scrub land terrain.

...and the ONLY things that “defense in depth” strategy accomplishes are a growing, bloated militarized FEDGOV and more infringement of liberties on American citizens. It sure isn’t stopping illegals.

Yep. Putting BP check points 50-100 miles from the border just pisses off actual Americans, and doesn’t stop the invasion even a little bit.

Obama is a traitor, a Benedict Arnold.

Sheriff Spence: Just a little note to help you deal with the criminal element coming in armed, shoot the first five and the rest may see the light. If not, at least you know the first five aren’t going to hurt anyone in your county. It is time to take the gloves and defend your county. I should not have to tell you this.

Insightful Freepers sum it all up (on another thresd).

DRAGNET2 POSTED This decades long violent lawless government-sponsored invasion has changed our history, compromised and undermined our electoral process, our economy, our industry and divided the United States of America.....

All of it undermines US ntl security, as well.....we are less safe.....as the invasion begins.

Private property rights are a basic part of our way of life. If an illegal was on my property and told me to get out, I would probably bomb them.

The check points are up the road from the border are there because when they were set up, the border was pretty secure. They were to be a second chance to catch drug runners or smugglers. They are based on the 1970’s model of how life on the border was like. They are fighting the last war while the enemy is fighting today’s war.

Obama is a traitor, a Benedict Arnold.

Apparently, it's worth the risks, especially for the Mexican government who is in the THICK of it. The Mexican politicians have the biggest stake in getting as many drugs into the USA, as fast and as often as possible.

SOMEONE has to pay for their expensive villas in Acapulco. So, let it be the USA drug users.

MY OPINION ONLY: Obama isn't smart enough to be a traitor. He's just a tool...and not a very good one at that.

SO TRUE.

My uncle worked for U.S. Customs in Arizona. He used to inspect the trains coming in with Mexican produce.
The "coyotes" are far too smart for the sparse U.S. Customs officials to catch: TOO many of them and NOT ENOUGH of us over a HUGE, long, empty, hot, nasty border.

They smuggle in drugs, guns, slaves people from Central and South America, thugs, criminals from any/all parts off the world seeking a "hiding place" and ANYthing else that the "Yanquis" might be able to use.

We give them money. After that, we give them MORE money. That's all they want from us and we give it. Always have; always will:

quid pro quo.

FR's own Matthew Bracken has predicted it all before, in his book "Domestic Enemies: The Reconquista".

The Milicianos are here, Matt. We need Ranya Bardiwell and Agent Garabanda.

I hope Sheriff's Spence's weapons are REAL and not government-issue border patrol guns that shoot bean bags.

The only thing these criminals understand is numbers and a show of force. I hope the Sheriff isn't alone when he patrols and has enough man power to fight these invaders...though I doubt it.

May he stay safe, he's not only fighting criminal invaders, he's fighting his own government as well - a government that won't back him up or provide him with enough agents to go against cartels with military weaponry.
